Extremely rude service, staff doesn’t understand how coupon codes work and refused to provide orders for my friends and I because they believed I “abused the system”, and would “run them out of business” for utilizing a $5 off coupon on 3 small items. Lady kept saying I can’t use the same coupon 3 times. I explained as best I could to them how these coupons were DIFFERENT one time use codes, I was NOT using the same coupon 3 times in a row. She even made the staff get out their phones to test it themselves! Yet after I was proved to be correct, they still declined to give me my order. Now as opposed to aforementioned, the excuse had changed to being because we used the codes under the same account as opposed to separate accounts. I was on the way to a friends house, and because T-Mobile Tuesdays provided this offer the same day we decided to redeem it together. I was the one picking up the order, so it makes sense that I put them under my name. The app allowed me to, after all. But apparently, now I had to bring the two other people with me. I offered to contact them, I even showed screenshots of their tmobile codes. Still not enough. She also started saying that because of a lack of order history on my app, she doubly would not give me my food. I tried to say that it was because I only created an mobile account for the coupon—my family’s eaten here for super long—we just never had the need for the app. But of course, I got cut off. I couldn’t explain myself, and she just kept saying my friends had to be present. In the moment I just felt so defeated, I had no other options. Im not one for confrontation, so I just say “okay, I guess, I’ll call them and see what they want me to do.” Picked up my own order, and left the establishment. During this whole encounter the lady was STILL going on and on about the ways I would hurt their establishment by using these coupons. After thinking about it, this is crazy. I wasn’t driving an hour to my friends’ house and back just to pick up $10 worth of food. We’re college students, we don’t have the time nor money for this. I didn’t go back. I shouldn’t have been treated like this. There was really no good reason why this wasn’t honored. Stressed me out so bad I ended up crying when I got in the car

Read moreMy recent visit to Dickey's Barbecue Pit in Durate was, unfortunately, a dining experience I would rather forget. I ordered a meal with high expectations, but the food I received was terrible and, in some cases, shockingly undercooked. Regrettably, I cannot see myself returning to this establishment.
The disappointment began with the first bite. I ordered what should have been a delectable barbecue dish, but what I received was a tasteless and poorly prepared meal. The meat was tough, dry, and lacked any semblance of the mouthwatering flavors one would expect from a barbecue joint. It felt like a far cry from the promised barbecue experience.
To make matters worse, some portions of the food I received were undercooked. It's difficult to describe the disappointment of biting into a piece of meat, only to find it raw in the center. The sides I ordered were equally unappetizing, as they were bland and appeared to have been sitting for far too long before being served.
The service was also far from satisfactory. The staff seemed disinterested and inattentive, which only added to the overall negative experience. Our concerns about the food were met with indifference rather than any meaningful effort to address the issue.
All in all, my visit to Dickey's Barbecue Pit in Durate left a lot to be desired. The subpar food quality, undercooked items, and lackluster service have left me with no desire to return. I had hoped for a memorable barbecue meal, but what I received was far from what I expected. It's truly disappointing when a dining experience falls so short...
Read moreI recently stopped by Dickey’s in Duarte for a quick lunch with my wife, as it had been a while since we last visited a Dickies location. Unfortunately, our experience this time was just okay, and I’m not sure if we’ll be returning.
Food: I ordered the chili cheese fries, and my wife went with a Loaded baked potato and Crispy Fried Okra. The brisket fries were decent but on the salty side, which took away from the overall flavor. The portion size was fine, but the taste didn’t quite hit the mark for us.
Service: The service was a bit of a mixed experience. The gentleman who was present when we arrived wasn’t very friendly, which started things off on the wrong foot. However, the lady who took our order later on was more pleasant and even brought our food to the table, which was a nice touch. Her friendliness helped salvage what would have otherwise been a disappointing interaction.
Ambiance: The ambiance was standard for a Dickey’s Barbecue Pit—nothing particularly noteworthy, but clean and functional for a quick meal.
Overall: While the food was okay and the service had some redeeming qualities, the experience didn’t stand out. The brisket fries were too salty, and the service could have been more consistently friendly. Given the number of other dining options in the area, we may not be returning to this location...
