We arrived at 7:15 for our reservation I made 2 days ahead of time, that was for 7:30, we sat at the bar and waited for our table. Finally at 7:45 we got seated. I ordered another beer, we both ordered prime rib as well as an appetizer to split. The bar was probably 6ft from me, took the server 20 minutes to get me a bushlight, as she walked past me she says your beer should be ready, I hope so it was a bottle of bushlight. Then our table had only one steak knife, so when I put my order in I asked for another steak knife. Our appetizer came, we ate, our steaks came, my steak had to sit on the edge of the table and wait another 20 minutes for a steak knife. I asked her nicely again this time was the third time. Another 20 minutes goes by and no steak knife. Server came back to ask how the food is and why I haven’t touched my steak. I told her I still need a steak knife. At this point my wife was done eating. I asked for our check and to get our food to go. I went to sign the check, and the pen didn’t work. So I closed the book and handed it back. Clearly i didn’t get to sighn and or leave a tip, I tried to tip, but the pen wouldn’t work. At this point in my head was it took this lady 20 minutes to get me a bush light, 40 minutes to get me a steak knife. At this point I haven’t even gotten a bite of my $45 steak. So we leave. The manager calls me 3 times in 10 minutes asking me to come back and sign my receipt. I told him I was fed up with waiting on service. He proceeded to attempt to get the waitress a tip. He asked me what he could do to make it up to me. I told him to do what he thinks is the right move. Apparently he felt charging me full price of my bill was the correct thing to do which is what ever. I wouldn’t recommend this place, the food was ok, and waaay over price. I...
Read moreWe were visiting our daughter and was looking for a nice fine dining spot. I’ll start with the pros. The atmosphere was great. Our waitress Lilly was absolutely amazing. She always had a smile on her face, tentative and answered all her questions. The chicken Elote flatbread, French onion, soup, and brussels sprouts were delicious. Now the reason we gave it a three star. The food was beautifully presented, however, almost everything we had was super bland. If only the food tasted as good as it looked. My husband got the ribeye steak and it for sure was the worst ribeye steak we have ever had. It was so tough to chew. We had to cut it up into miniature pieces. At $50 a steak with no sides it was quite disappointing. Neither one of us think it was actually a ribeye. It didn’t have the marbling you typically see in a ribeye and the texture and taste of a roast. We were given the option to order fries plain instead of truffle fries, which we did, and was surprised we were charge the same price. It was our fault for not asking. The beef stroganoff was well cooked but unfortunately lacked flavor. The burger was OK. It tasted like any other burger, definitely not a $22 burger. We think it would be a great spot for drinks and appetizers but would not return for a...
Read moreI don’t know what Boyd gaming was thinking hiring this new manager. Every single good waitress is gone. The servers are completely clueless as to what is going on. The “policies” are LUDICROUS. A few weeks ago they wouldnt serve us a cocktail (group between 36-65) because one of us didn’t have an ID. The manager actually came to our table and let us know that the cameras will be watching us. So WEIRD. We got up and left. Most recently, we came with a group of 16, for a birthday, and they will not separate our checks, and never told us this during the reservation. But the kicker? They gave us menus with no pricing!! So they won’t do separate checks and we have no clue what we are paying for? Oh yes… they didn’t ID all 16 people during this outing… ironic? All 16 people canceled our food and left (yes, it was this bad). Absolutely the WORST management I’ve ever experienced. Not “fine dining” at all. Spend your money at one of the many amazing local restaurants that appreciate your business and are beyond happy to have you in their establishment. We used to eat at Woodfire at least once a month. Now I don’t think I would...
