Purchased and Flexsteel electric recliner on 06/13/2019. Broght recliner home and noticed that it was leaning to one side. Called store where purchased and they stated they were being bought out by another furniture company and would not honor the warranty. Flexsteel has no phone number listed anywhere on their websites. Contacted them via email from their sight and explained the problem. Flexsteel has a 1 year warranty and informed them i expected them to honor the warranty not the store. Recieved a generic email back that did not address the issue. It has been 6 months and the issue still has not been resolved. In the meantime an electrical problem has developed and the chair no longer has any power. I purchased an service agreement through Furniture Protection Connection which is administered by Serveco. Claim was reported to them one week after i recieved the recliner. (6 months ago) issue still not resoleved. They ordered a new from from Flexsteel and Flexsteel sent a frame for a manual recliner not an electric recliner which totally differenet. Another frome was ordered from Flexsteel and they sent it alone with a new motor and worm gear, but the frame was again for a manual recliner same as the first frame Why would you send and electric motor with a manual frame I would not reccomment purchasing any Flexsteel products since while they offer a warranty on paper, in reality there is none. No one is there to talk to with Flexsteel. There is not even a customer service departemnt or phone number listed on their website. Was told they are made in America but the lable on the chair on the underside says Made in Mexico. Poor quality product, poor customer service. Should have bouhgt a LazyBoy. Stay away from this product and don't buy a service agreement from Furniture...
Read moreWe purchased a new sectional in the fall of 2018 with power seats and charging stations for $6000 and thought we would get quality with Flexsteel. When delivered, the left facing chair didn’t work correctly and would catch as the footrest went up or down. The right side would go up and the left would stop until the right popped it up. “The store” sent out a technician. He adjusted it but it still wasn’t working correctly so he came out again a few weeks later and removed a bolt. It was still catching and continued to deteriorate. Long story short, we have been trying to get the chair fixed for almost three years. I called and emailed multiple times with no response through 2018-early 2020. When the safer at home order was lifted and they opened back up, I stated in the calls and emails I understood the issues with Covid and I just wanted a response back. I finally sent them a not so nice email and I finally got a call back within a day. They said it was now out of warranty and I’d have to pay for the shipping and trip charges. Months later they finally called saying the part had arrived and we made arrangements for the repair. When he saw the chair he said the part wasn’t even for our sectional and left within minutes. Needless to say I am at wits end at this point. There is no reason for a new item not to be functional when delivered or, that a buyer should be forced to have it repaired instead of replaced or, that it should take three or more years to get a problem corrected. The last visit was May 5, 2021. No word since then and we are hoping it doesn’t get further damaged while we continue to wait...
Read moreUnfortunately I had a challenging experience with my FlexSteel purchase, it was not a good experience for me, the chair that was delivered was not the chair I originally ordered/committed to in the store (Maryland).
In November 2019, I went to the store and really liked a powered recliner that they had on display. I decided to order the chair I picked the fabric, the nail head finish and the finish for the legs, all good and very happy.
About 4 weeks later I get a call, that the nail head finish I picked was no longer available. So I selected the next best hail head finish, okay but not the best finish for my needs.
Four weeks later I had another message telling me the other nail head finish was no longer available. So I had to pick the least bad nail head finish what was available - REALLY NOT GREAT.
Four weeks later I had another message telling me that the finish for the chair legs was, yes you guessed it, no longer available. I had to pick a different finish for the legs.
I wanted to cancel the order, the chair was a special order, I was told by the store clerk I was not able to cancel the order, if I did I would be charged 50% of the order price, I would have been out of pocket for close to $700.
The only part of the chair that is the original chair I ordered is the fabric, nothing else, I am very disappointed that FlexSteel are not able to support their own products.
This was a terrible experience for me, I will not purchase anything from FlexSteel again, and I would not recommend the brand to any...
