I went to barnacles for my birthday party on Friday the 8th of February. Although the music and vibes were good and I did enjoy myself after a few drinks, the service was severely lacking. Our first waitress took our drink order and didn’t return for about 20 minutes. When she finally showed back up I asked her to keep my tab open (because obviously we just got here, it’s my birthday and we plan to party) she said she had too many tabs open and she needed to close the tab now. When she returned we asked her for a menu and she never came back. My guests arrived and I then had to go to the bar and get a menu myself after waiting another 15 minutes for her to return. When no one returned to our table my guests went to the bar to order drinks themselves. We managed to flag down a second waitress to order food from. She took our order and then 10 minutes later before our food even got to the table she brings us the check and says we need to close our tab and pay for the food now. BEFORE WE EVEN RECEIVED THE FOOD! We refused to do so without first checking the quality of our food. When the food arrived one of the side orders was wrong. We asked for loaded fries and got potato skins the waitress then said she would fix it and brought out the wrong thing again. This time it was just fries so she said she would have them make proper loaded fries and redid the check. NOT ONLY DID THEY TRY TO MAKE US PAY BEFORE WE GOT OUR FOOD THEY GOT THE ORDER WRONG TWOCE AND CHARGED US FOR BOTH POTATO SKINS AND FRIES! I will probably not go back to thant barnacles but I will try a different one. I give them a 3.5 because the service was terrible but the food, drinks and...
Read moreIf Entertainment met great food this place would be great for Gwinnett county. The FOOD IS HORRIBLE and over priced. Basically since they've opened I've noticed they are over priced by food and drinks. Not to mention they put their own gratuity. The first time I came I ordered crab crakes. The worse crab cakes Ive ever SAW in my life. First off Ive never seen black crunchy hard crab cake before. PERIOD! ((Looked just like the girl Falange picture in her reviews)) lol eww. So I sent them back & waited 45min for salmon bites, the next best "sounding" dish on the menu. The salmon bites were good this first time around. I paid $17 for the bites (only 4) ,$8 for a side, & 1 freaking drink (georgia peach) equaled to about $56.00 which is ridiculous. This is not Seasons 52. This time I thought the food would be different. This time I paid 31.00 for salmon bites & mck n cheese w NO DRINK. The first time around they were good as hell. There's no consistency! This time they were old, dried out, & inedible. And to have to pay $4.50 as a gratuity and the food was horrible is outrageous. I will never eat here again. Even when I called & spoke w the manager he promised he'd called me back with a solution but never did. Horrible..HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT. He probably should have offered a new FRESH SALMON BITE but instead offered to call me back which never happened. If u eat here, only eat the basic.. WINGS...u can't go wrong with wings. Spoke with the owner still didn't get a proper...
Read moreWow! I hate to put one star bc this was the Worst experience ever At a Bar in my entire life. If you want to spend your money with good conscious, DO NOT go here. We had family members from all over the nation, myself included, come to Barnacles Duluth to bring in the 2020 new year and we were met with discrimination. The man (who seemed to be the manager- black man with bald head) and security was so rude and discriminatory to our family members who are living with disability. They upcharged the prices specifically for those who didn’t seem to fit their mood. There was no assistance available when they kicked my legally blind Aunt of the line and intentionally overlooked her. My family travels the world for holidays to have different experiences, little did we know we would be discriminated against by our own kind. This was not only disappointing but also humiliating. I wish I knew names to report but Your entire staff could use trauma informed training. I understand this is a bar environment but right is right and she specifically was treated very wrong. This is not a way to treat people regardless of what they look or live like. I will make it my mission to make sure this place does better for the next person living with a disability. Very unfair and very ignorant...
