COCO LOV — Restaurant in Dunedin

A quick treat along the Pinellas Trail. Coco Lov is a super simple ice cream shop with a great twist: all the ice creams are coconut-based and are also gluten-free, waffle cones included, which is greatly appreciated for those of us with certain food allergies. I tried a waffle cone and the Stracciatella, the Blueberry, and the Pink Dragonfruit ice creams. All of them were very unique and each of the delicious. The server allowed us to taste samples before choosing, had a deep knowledge of the different flavor offerings and seemed to take pride in all the flavors that were available on my visit. In addition to the coconut-based ice creams, they offered to-go boxes of gluten-free tiramisu, a cheesecake, and some homemade drinks such as coconut water. I am visiting the area for the month of February and happened to search "vegan ice cream" which led me to COCO LOV and WOW am I impressed! First, they let you sample as many of their flavors as you like (and there are a TON of different flavors), each flavor I tasted was absolutely delicious making it hard to choose which one I wanted to commit to. My first visit I had the carrot cake in a cone (the cone was SOOOOO good), my second visit I got 2 kid scoops combining strawberry and chocolate which was even better than the carrot cake! I wish this place had a location up north where I live because I would absolutely be a regular. I will definetely be visiting at least a few more times while i'm in town!!
