Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Durango

I am handicapped and ordered delivery online via the actual Applebee's website for Durango, as the option for delivery was present and due to the weather and my disability, was more convenient...i used a gift card, and then the rest of the balance was paid with my debit card...I received a confirmation email/receipt that my order placed (before 4pm) would be delivered by 437pm...the Applebee's website tracker did not update past 15 minutes post order...after the delivery time was not met I called the restaurant to inquire about my order...they stated it was supposed to be picked up...i stated no, my receipt shows it was to be delivered by 437p...i ordered it for delivery on the Applebee's website, from the Durango restaurant...i was then passed to a manager who insisted I ordered incorrectly...i stated no...your location specifically shows a delivery option...he did not believe me...my emailed receipt from Applebee's has Durango restaurant and delivery right there for 437p...he didn't believe me...said for delivery I had to use a third party site to order delivery...and that I ordered from another store, even though the tracker showed delivery for the Durango restaurant and was concordant with the emailed receipt...the manager said he could refund my debit charges and gift card purchase...i said fine...cancel the order...and hung up...a few minutes later the restaurant called me back...the manager stated that the delivery driver was there and that he refunded the charges to my debit card but was unable to credit the gift card...he said I could have the food for the gift card cost...i said fine begrudgingly, assuming the food had been maintained at proper temperature...NOPE!!! the food arrived after being at room temperature for over 90 minutes- almost 545pm...it was cold to the touch, and the cheese pasta, which was supposed to be Mac and cheese, smelled foul and had bacon in it even though I ordered no bacon...additionally they sent a strawberry lemonade when I ordered a regular lemonade...ice cream was melted completely...every food item was cold to the touch, except the ice cream which was actually warm, and then to microwave the steak to proper temperature left it almost hard as a rock...everything had to be tossed out...not one item was kept at proper serving temperature- NOT ONE!!!...I tried to gnaw a few steak bites down....however EVERY item was dangerously close to being at the 2hr danger zone time limit when it was delivered...and in fact, i got food poisoning later this evening- sick to my stomach and lower gi from the steak- the only thing I was able to try...THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!!!! My gift card was used for this? For no meal at all and food borne illness???...Oh and the charges to my debit card? STILL NOT CREDITED BACK!!!!! Over $30 worth...Firstly, if you don't offer legitimate delivery with vetted drivers from your restaurant, then remove the option from your website...secondly, there is NO REASON an order is not ensured to be kept at proper serving temperatures until pick up or delivery...my food sat out at room temperature for over 90 minutes and was physically cold to the touch...where in your standard operating procedures is this acceptable? ...and to act like giving me food that is close within food borne illness temperature range is a gift...really? REALLY??NO!!! this needs to be remedied...a BBB complaint will be filed...there were numerous violations including false advertisement...not to mention not maintaining proper food temperatures- a health code violation...i have enjoyed Applebee's at many locales without any issues for years...but I will never go here again...i expect a new gift card or cash equivalent, and my funds back in my bank account before Monday...this was ridiculousness and beyond...

We were there on July 12 for our early dinner. There were 5 of us 2 adults and 3 kids. We were enjoying our time because we were on vacation. we ordered two alcoholic drinks one Came out wrong but we still take it cuz it already been made we hate to mark them make it again The food was good I had the blackened salmon with mashed potato and three cheese mac & cheese. I really enjoyed it my kids also enjoyed their kids meal except my husband meal . He ordered Parmesan steak and blackened shrimp. The steak supposed to be a medium rare but came out well done. When we inform the waitress (Kailyn A) that the Steak was well done. She asked my husband does he want a new plate we said yes. The second one came out the steak was perfect so we tell her this one is better my husband showed her the shrimp and steak was not over cooked. Her response was so sir this one was no blackened on the shrimps and that’s why it’s not covered cooked she said that the chef took out the seasoning because we were complaining about the steak overcooked. We were just trying to tell her that the second steak came out perfect but She trying to make that is our fault cuz we don’t know what a blackened is. When we tried to explain to her that we know the difference between an over cooked and a blackened. She was ok ok but she was not really listening to what we have say and then she was like I will have a manager come out and talk to you and then she turned around and shook her head. I was like she didn’t not just do that. At this point she has ruined our day. She has the manager( Roger )come out which is not necessary at all. we were happy with the second steak we just trying to tell her that. she could have handling it like professional. The manager was really nice I told him what happened he apologized for her but it is not his fault. I told him not to take anything out of my bill because it is not about that it’s about Kailyn attitude. So we leave her no tips cuz she...

I really hate to do this, I hate to leave a bad review, BUT, this is not the best of the Applebees. When we arrived there only about 5 tables being used and 2 or 3 patrons at the bar. We were told it would be a 15 to 20 minute wait. Okay..we were seated sooner than the 20 minutes, which was great. We were seated in an area near the bar, which was fine, there was a waitress serving 2 tables there, no problem. We waited 30 minutes before the bartender walked over and asked if he could help us? We thanked him and told him we appreciated it as we didn't know who our server was, he chuckled and said, "honestly, we didn't either." Really? Lots of folks there were 2 or 3 others walking around not doing a lot of anything and there wasn't a lot of to go orders coming in. At any rate bless him, we had to tell him several times what our order was. Our drinks from the bar were great ,but our appetizers and food came at the same time. I had the penne pasta, part of it was cold and some of it was warm but the order overall we had was correct. While waiting for our food, the kitchen was right next to our table and apparently someone was having a bad night as the next thing we know someone started yelling expletives, GD, MF, SOB why we have no idea. Honestly, I can't recommend this place for families, I would be hesitant to recommend it at all given the service. The only positive was the drinks and our appetizers. I felt the bartender was doing the best he could. The parking is also inadequate. If this is the last place to eat ok, but if you can go elsewhere I would.
