The margaritas are the best we have ever had anywhere, and we can bring our dogs and sit just outside the restaurant because it's located inside the Main Avenue Mall between 8th and 9th Street. They serve gluten free chips so I feel better about eating them (you can't taste the difference, but I can feel the difference). I try not to eat rice and beans in general, to keep my weight down, and they are very accommodating when I ask for a salad on the other side of the plate so I can have a lighter meal. I love, love, love their Camarones A La Crema, their Camarones a la Diabla which has a nice spice, not too spicy, but really nice. Grilled jalapenos always adds a nice kick with anything I order. Their homemade mole is amazing, but the Pollo En Mole Poblano is a pretty large dish for me. It is so good you want to finish your plate. My husband loves their margaritas (the one he named Suzanne) and their lengua burrito or tacos. I try to encourage him to try more things on their menu, because I'm always discovering a new favorite... but he rarely orders something other than their lengua. I love their lengua tacos and their shrimp tacos and shrimp fajitas or shrimp fajita salad served in a taco shell, but I want to eat the whole shell, so I don't order that very often because I don't trust myself when trying to maintain my weight and not go overboard. If we just want appetizers and a margarita? We love their Camarones Locos, and the Fried Calamari is so good, it's not greasy at all, but instead it has a light coating (I don't want to say breading because it doesn't seem like breading) and the dipping sauce is delicious... the Ceviche is amazing, but even better is their Botanas which as Ceviche inside along with fresh oysters on the half shell. The staff is very, very friendly and sweet... we love...
Read moreThe WORST “Mexican” food ever! If I could give it 0 stars, I would’ve! Do not waste your time. The pictures on Google are very deceiving! The salsa had a weird fishy taste to it and soda had no carbonation. That should’ve been our sign to leave. We decided to get carne asada (we thought you can’t really mess that up) WELL you definitely can mess up carne asada, what they brought was three LITTLE pieces of some VERY CHEAP steak that looked like it was microwaved with some very cheap nasty seasoning. Rice was mushy and didn’t have a good taste. It was DISGUSTING!! We had a large table and ordered 5 carne asada plates, a hamburger, and a chicken plate…we left it all. The carne asada was 18.99 per plate but it is not worth it! I will never ever return. There was no one in the restaurant and now I know why! The server was an older lady, she was nice and I know the disgusting food was not her fault. The manager had a horrible attitude from the time he sat us down and cleaned our table. This place should not be rated as high as it is! Save your money and go elsewhere! Nayarit is very similar and I have never had a...
Read moreIt was Cinco de Mayo, so they were busy but seemed short staffed. Very friendly waitress trying her best, but it did take a while to get served. The Margarita and the Mojito were large but were disappoinyed because they were mostly sour mix with not even a hint of Tequila or Vodka. Also, my husband had to send his back because there were pieces of herbs in it, which was weird. They brought us another, which was fine, but there no apology for it. The bar staff just looked surprised. I had a shrimp taco, which was dry and tasteless. The fish taco was better, but way too much onion on both. It would've been nice to have some cabbage with some sauce on them. My husband got the pork Enchiladas, which he said were just alright. The extra $2 charge for a side of sour cream was a bit pricey as well as the food for what you got. The atmosphere was so so. It is located in a mall in...
