Mom and I have been going to Brahms in Durant for years. Most of the time the food and customer service is good but then today happened. I have been in retail/ food industry for over 30 years and my mom offered to take me out to dinner and of course I said Brahms. We walked in about 430 and there were a couple people in line for ice cream but we walked right up to order burgers and malts. We were orders 217 and 218, it took longer than usual to get our food, no worries but they called our order out and we didn't have our malts. I asked about them and he said he was getting them, ok, we sat down and the fries were very hot and that got our mouths watering! We opened up our burgers and the first thing we notice is the cheese hanging out, cold and stiff, ok, mom started eating hers and she kind of made the yuk sound, when I checked mine the burger was cold same with the cheese. Being in the industry I am very patient but then I took a bite and that was it, I took it back and asked if I may have a burger that's hot, ok, a few minutes later they call me with a new one, I went to get it and again inquired about our shakes, I was told in a couple mins. Went back and I tried really hard to be happy with the food and service but about halfway through my burger I couldn't eat anymore and my mom as well. When they called order 227 I went back to the counter and told the guy we are ready to leave and really wanted our malts to wash down the cardboard burgers. We got them but not before the lady standing next to me got upset because her order was messed up. On the way out we stopped and talked to the grocery checker who always so kind and told her of our experience. We will be back but not for a while. PS. Read moreUpdate: Nice crew but the system needs updated on tickets. Waited 28 minute ticket time for a small order and eventually had to ask for a refund and leave to find other food. I tried to be patient, but the car I followed into the parking lot drive-thru went through about 7 cars prior to me getting the refund. There is no possible way that the drive-thru tickets were coming in before to go in dining (there were five orders and no food sent to lobby side in 20+ minutes. Won’t return.
Usually good overall. I’ve noticed the food isn’t fresh lately though unless it’s right at lunch rush. This isn’t too awful with the burgers, but bought some crispy chicken sandwiches this evening and the chicken was very apparent it had been sitting in a warmer for an excessive amount of time. (Almost couldn’t cut it). We had already made it home from a long day and noticed they also uncharged the two meals without wanting it done which unfortunately affects price. (In this day, I just assumed it was more expensive anyway due to the rising product cost and didn’t really check the receipt. That’s my fault, but I don’t typically have any fast food restaurants up-charge without asking.)
Also grabbed something from the market while waiting, and the cashier asked if I’d like the receipt. I told her “yes, if you don’t mind” which was followed by her saying have a great night and throwing the receipt away.

I usually come by Braum’s to get the chicken strip meal a couple of times a week because it is my guilty pleasure. If you get the chicken strip meal from Braums, you know that sometimes the chicken strips are absolutely ridiculously tiny so when I received two of the four chicken strips and they were the size of a quarter I took it back up to the desk and asked to please get replacement chicken strips. Brittney, at the Durant Oklahoma Location looked me in my eyes and said you get what we get sorry. We went back-and-forth for a couple of minutes and I just asked for a complete refund, and she stood there just looking at me. She then walked over and handed me another tiny chicken strip to make up for the small ones I already recived, which of course was on purpose! I have always just ordered my food and minded my business at this location because every staff member seems to just hate their life but this time they were just plain rude and unaccommodating to their customers and it is ridiculous!!
