One Star – Do Better, Rita’s!
What a horrible experience. I expected better from a well-known name like Rita’s, but this location was a complete disaster from start to finish. The wait was ridiculously long, and not because it was busy but because the girl at the front had no clue what she was doing. Zero confidence, zero urgency, and clearly zero training. The young girl working at the front clearly had no idea what she was doing it honestly looked like she was guessing how the recipes went. That’s unacceptable for a brand like Rita’s. I had to cancel part of my order because I could see she was unsure, and I didn’t want to waste more money. Speaking of which, I already regret spending anything at all for what was served.
To make it worse, the people behind me in line ended up walking out from the wait and confusion. This falls squarely on management and the franchise owner. Do better! Your staff needs proper training and coaching. It’s not fair to put someone on the front line who clearly hasn’t been set up to succeed.
Rita’s is a known brand act like it. What a disappointing experience.
East Brunswick Rita’s, if you want to protect your reputation, get serious about employee training. This was frustrating, disappointing, and completely avoidable.

Read moreOn May 11, Sunday at 3:30pm. I went to Rita's Ice and waited in line outdoors. One employee was servicing customers inside, while another was servicing customers outside. When I moved up to the front of the line, the employee began to wait on those indoors. I therefore moved to the indoor line. When it was my turn, the employee went to wait on a person at the outdoor window who had just walked up instead. I excused myself and asked why I was being ignored. I waited in two lines, and then someone who just exited their car got immediate service. The employee looked at me but did not say anything. They did not have the intelligence to do so. I explained the situation and asked if I should go somewhere else. The employee just stared at me without saying anything, as if they did not have a brain. I left and went to Dairy Queen where a friendly employee greeted me. I will never go to this Rita's again, for the manager is unable to hire employees with any understanding or brains. Update: I've noticed that Destiny and other employees were instructed by their manager to have their friends submit positive reviews. What a bad reflection on the manager and the owner. Boycott this store; they do not deserve to be managing a business. So many other Rita's stores are great, and I frequent...
Read moreI had a wonderful experience at Rita’s Ice thanks to Destiny! From the moment I walked up, she was incredibly friendly and respectful. She greeted me with a warm smile and made me feel welcomed right away.
What stood out most was how patient she was in helping me understand all the options on the menu. She didn’t rush me at all, and took the time to explain the different flavors and combinations available. I really appreciated how knowledgeable and helpful she was. It truly made my visit so much better.
Destiny truly went above and beyond with her excellent customer service. She’s a great example of what it means to care about your customers. I’ll definitely be coming back!
