Chipotle Mexican Grill — Restaurant in East Rutherford

I used to love to eat at Chipotle, and did so quite often. However, this was my last purchase! They lost my business! Suddenly, they stopped offering the military discount, even when providing an ID! The employees said they were told that if anyone gives the military discount, they will be terminated immediately! Yes, you read that correctly! Those were the exact words they used when I visited today. The employees were told the company is losing too much money giving the military discount, and only provides it to police officers. Again, those were the exact words spoken to me.

I agree that police officers should get a discount, considering all that they do for us. But many of us fought overseas for our country, and it’s the least that Chipotle can do for our military and Veterans! I’m not asking for a handout, nor is any other military service member. The discount was a nice way to say Thank You, and to show appreciation for the men and women that put their lives on the line. Many are now disabled, and unfortunately, too many made the ultimate sacrifice.

Such an unpatriotic move, Chipotle!! By no longer offering the military discount, you will lose way more money in lost business, as our military service members, Veterans and their families will now dine elsewhere!! Shame on you!

There’s just no way that the staff was this incoherent with me today. I asked for two bowls and a lady proceeded to take out two bowls for my order, and then asks the customer behind me what they want in it. I reminded the person that I just 2 seconds ago said it was my order. Maybe she thought the person was my friend no biggie, so the first bowl I began to request stuff on and she still took my second bowl to ask the person behind me what they wanted and began to fulfill his order. There’s just no way that happened she had to have been kidding around. She apologized and got a new bowl for me and then as I requested what I want in it she ignored my protein and passed it along to the second staff for the toppings. I let it go because I was not trying to make the people behind me wait because of her errors. Then at the cash register that same employee who can’t understand simple instructions told her that I asked for extra protein. That was false and I never once asked for extra chicken on the bowl that she messed up. A girl at the cash register gave me an attitude as if I was making a problem for them. She asked me if I wanted anything else and I asked for TWO tortillas, and guess what. That lady who messed up my order only brought back one. I reminded the girl at the register that I asked for two and she annoyingly said “There is two wrapped in the foil”. I went there today November 15th at around 12 pm and let’s just say that I would have preferred to not eat than to have dealt with the attitude of the people working there that shift. I understand people have bad days, but what bothered me most was the woman who was at the register. I simply asked her to double check that she was giving me the right order bc she almost gave the guy ahead of me the wrong order so I figured the next two orders had also gotten mixed up. With a bad attitude she told me no that she was giving me the right order. She proceeded to put my food in the bag aggressively almost crushing me chips. I didn’t say anything to her. Before I left I double checked that my order was correct and it wasn’t.she had given me someone else’s order. I gave my order to the person who was behind me bc she had given me his order.
