I am appalled to know that you cant order water at Starbucks. As a loyal customer who spends money at Starbucks 4 times a week I don’t ever order a water here so this is news to me. I wasn’t feeling well so I just wanted to grab a water which I didn't mind paying for whatsoever. I asked for a venti water and added strawberry inclusions intentionally so that it wouldn’t be free. The barista states that they cant charge it like that anymore and instead they would need to ring it as a chai latte for $4 and change. Maybe $1-$2 okay but almost $5 for a cup of ice water with strawberry pieces is absurd. So im like okay I’ll just pay for the water plain if you cant ring it with strawberry pieces. She then tells me “actually we cant let you get water unless you purchase something to go with it since you’re at the drive thru.” (At this time I already have a croissant and half a cup of peach green tea in the car with me from an earlier Starbucks purchase) and didn't want anything else random or extra to waste since I wasn't feeling well. I simply wanted to buy a water only and was denied. Unbelievable customer service. Waited in the drive thru line and left with nothing. I don’t typically go to this location but I know for a fact the service at rochelle park wouldn’t have been like this. I definitely won’t be back here. I also reported this to corporate. Who knew it was this difficult to buy a water at an establishment that sells drinks. You would have thought I was asking for something free or a complicated drink! How ironic is it that I pay almost $2 extra when I remove water from certain drink recipes but I cant even buy just a water in the drive thru.. make...
Read moreRight. So. Listen. If you're like me (and I suspect many are), you come to Starbucks because you like the fact that it's a chain coffee house with drinks that taste the same no matter where you go. You order a caramel macchiato at a Starbucks in the middle of nowhere in Nebraska and it's going to taste the same as a caramel macchiato made here. Comfort and routine.
But here's the thing about this particular Starbucks. Do you want to taste the drink you like, only it's been magically made by coffee fairies who delight in making your drink as if it's their most prized job in the world? Because that's what happens here. I don't understand how, or why, or what they do; I'm honestly pretty convinced that they have a unicorn that makes their beverages because they're the regular kinda Starbucks drinks that you expect, but they're literally magical. I've ordered a sugary abomination of a frapuccino (with extra everything - my guilty pleasure and the only way I can get through a day of working in a busy pharmacy) a half dozen or so times from these people and it ALWAYS manages to be absolutely FLAWLESS.
Surely it can't just be one person who just really loves me ??? There are plenty of people who work there. Do they just all have tiny wings that they hide beneath their clothes?? I don't understand. How do all of you make such perfect drinks? Why is this one particular Starbucks the most perfect Starbucks on Earth?
I'll never understand it, but in the meantime, I'll enjoy my happy early sugar-induced coma and pray that the end of times spare all of the magical people who work in this Starbucks so that they may rule the...
Read moreI placed an order for pickup at the drive thru at 10:07 AM. The app said it should be ready at 10:11 AM so I pulled up at the window just one minute before the estimated time which was 10:10. The worker who was a young heavy set lady with what it appeared to be green eye contacts had the nastiest attitude. She told me “next time wait before picking up your order after placing it and wait to the side”, with the nastiest attitude; rolling her eyes and all. Before I even got to get a word in to try to tell her I waited in the parking lot before pulling in to get my order she had shut the drive thru window as I was speaking. When another worker came to give me my drink I tried to explain to her that I had ordered minutes before I came to pick up my drink but she wasn’t informed on the situation so she was confused and just said “oh okay, you’re okay don’t worry.” She was super nice but then the worker who had previously served me came to the window and told me “Bye have a great day” in the most passive aggressive and condescending tone and once again shut the window as I was speaking to the other employee. All I wanted to tell her was that I came to get my drink at the estimated time it was due and that I was confused why I got treated the way I did. I had waited in the parking lot before pulling up the drive thru until I saw the time got closer to the estimated pick up time. There was no reason to be rude and no reason to give attitude. It’s a shame because the drinks actually tasted really great but this young lady should definitely work on her customer service skills and on her...
