Very so-so restuarant if your not there to gamble, perhaps it's a better eatery if gambling was your major preoccupation to gain sustenance here. Having lived in Las Vegas for a long time and also Reno for a short year or so I understand casino diners fairly well. This one I would consider a virtual dartboard of things that can be improved. Technically the only thing that was better than acceptable was the steak that I received getting the surf and turf meal special for Saturday. The steak was actually cooked (doness wise) just how I asked for it, and though it wasn't the most tenderest of sirloins I found it very palatable. The handful of shrimp that were breaded and fried I could have done without. Very little flavor for shrimp even of small or regular size and I'm not a fan of breaded fish anyway so it would be difficult for them to be good enough to sway me into enjoying them, they were served with cocktail sauce on the side. I had the fries (which came hot) as a side which were supposed to be seasoned but I had to get the waitress to bring me more seasoning powder and also had a regular side salad. My wife decided to have both of her sides come with dinner come as one larger Caesar salad. Weirdly my wife's and my salad had the exact same ingredients except hers was larger and had Caesar salad dressing and mine had 1000 island as I requested. The Caesar salad that was brought to her was typical premade salad mix with lettuce, cabbage, carrots and what have you. The pieces of cabbage in it, which she is allergic to thankfully we caught in time before she tried any of it. A Caesar salad recipe is not made by just adding some ceasar dressing on to a bowl of different vegetables and saying here's a ceasar salad, just saying. So the service from the 1st person there, that came and took our drink order and then our food order wasn't spectacular and she'd seemed a little bit irritated because we asked a few questions about food items on the menu. The girl that brought the food to us later and also somehow became our server after that was actually pretty nice, cute, and she had a great helpful personality. So I have to give a 50/50 cut for the wait staff. The ambience of the restaurant is differently geared towards the casino and thus had none of its own. When I say casino there (in the last sentence) I'm being very lenient as the casino that I could see which I did not play at looked very I don't wanna say run down, but I'm not sure how I would describe it coming from the hundreds of casinos I've seen in Nevada, except I wouldn't enjoy sitting at any of the gaming tables at the Buzz Inn. Perhaps picture this, if a gas station (that didn't sell gas) wanted to hire a couple dealers and run some live table games in house for people, small, bleak crowded setting. The casino and restaurant also had a very diverse population of customers, Spanish and Mexican seemed to be high on the spoken language ideal with English and American coming in at a close second. The restrooms which cater to both the casino and the restaurant itself, well honestly the men's room smelled of excrement and it was hard to be in there for only a minute tops. I did mention my experience with casino diners earlier, typically they're all 24/7 I'm not sure what the hours for the Buzz Inn are it being in East Wenatchee, but typically casinos know to bring traffic in they charge very little for good items on their menu, that is not this place and is not the case at the Buzz Inn Steakhouse & Casino. I would have to say in all reality the best part of going to that restaurant was in...
Read moreWhile the aesthetics of this "casino" are not the best, it is not exactly "scummy" either. While seated in the very small "dining" area (4 or 5 booths I think) you can view the multiple tvs, bar and casino. Most the space is for the casino then the bar, with the "family" dining area relegated to the above approximate seating arrangement.
My wife and I ordered. My wife the cordon bleu, myself the Chicken Fried steak. (I am in search of the best Chicken Fried steak of this area). I had a cup of the soup de jour, which was a Kale and sausage soup. My wife had the salad. I was very impressed how tasty the soup was, being that I didn't expect much due to the surroundings. But my soup was VERY delicious! My wife's salad was standard fare.
Next Dinner came. We had both opted for fries with our meal. My Chicken Fried steak had a delicious cream gravy that actually had sausage (the right way in my view). The steak was actually a Food Services steak (the distribution company) but was prepared very well, and with the delicious gravy was very acceptable to me. NOT the best, but I would defiantly order the meal again.
My wife's Cordon Bleu was actually amazing! We did as we often do and had a taste of each others meal. We were both very impressed with the quality and flavor of their rendition of the Cordon Bleu. I was lucky enough that my wife could only eat 1 of the two that she got served, so I enjoyed the second one later that night at home.
So when you go to the Buzz Inn for food, don't expect beautiful surroundings, but do expect good to great food. We will be going...

She left us waiting for a very long time. Did not check in on us. We were there for over 3 hours watching the live music with friends. We had dinner and 3 drinks and water over 3 hours. She became rude to us didn’t want to help. When we made it to Clear Water there were 3 other parties there that she did the same thing to. She did not communicate there was an issue until she was rude to my friends and I. My friends had some pull tabs winnings and she seemed to develop the attitude when cashing those in and never came back to help after that. We typically tip very well and just enjoy our quiet date night once or twice a month, but I don’t think we will be going back there anymore. I like the atmosphere there with the music but her...
