Fonda Oaxaqueña — Restaurant in East Wenatchee

This is now my favorite Mexican restaurant! Wow! ... Very authentic and different varieties that are not found at most. The salsa is very spicy (which we enjoy) and their green Verde salsa test very fresh... As if it came right from a blender full of fresh vegetables. It has a nice atmosphere and the people are great. LOVE their colorful chairs! The only negative was the glass full of ice with the couple ounces of cola that looked like ice tea it was so thin. They do give seconds... But I doubt if I had even a 12 ounce can total. Plenty of soda is needed to burn along with the Mexican food. I doubt if they skimp on the beer or they would have a revolt.

Okay... So I'm back, editing my review because I forgot the platanos fritos. That was (unfortunately) pretty disappointing. My wife and I usually enjoy it. Not sure why, but though it was sprinkled with seasoning... The plantain was VERY bland, having no flavor.

Don't let my soda and desert experience shy you away. I'm going back soon when we get back...

I’ve been to the sister restaurant over in Chelan and this one is the exact same top quality Mexican food. I enjoy their menu selection and my favs are the Pollo Asado chipotle, the Pollo Mexicana and the Enchilada Oaxaquena.

Cocktails are also good and have enjoyed the classic Pina Colada as well as Bahama mama.

For dessert we tried the plantain and it was delicious.

I did find this time around the table service was not great. We came in at 5pm, it wasn’t that busy and we were seated right away. Water, menu and chips came about 10mins later. Another 10mins passed before a waiter came to take our order. The service team only came once did dinner to see how everything was, at almost the end of dinner. It was disappointing as my previous experience had been fantastic - this restaurant was not full - where did the service team go??

I will come again for the quality and taste of the food and I’ll update this review on whether service...

We were just there I got the grilled chicken with Chipotle creamy sauce and it was ok but not creamy at all. My husband was happy with his pollo con mole the service wasn't the best I had to ask for everything every time we need something the server didn't check on pur table to see if we were ok or needed anything. For dessert we order flan that was good , churros with ice cream that were bad the churros were burned and they add honey base on the picture it showed like a strawberry syrup and I ordered platano fritos that I was craving the picture never showed cinnamon power all over and I honestly don't tolerate cinnamon at all.
