Save your money! My wife saw this place and we read all of the flavors and wanted to try it out. The price point did not scare me but when you are charging $8 for a regular cinnamon roll and $12 for a Gourmet Cinnamon roll, the expectation is these cinnamon rolls are the best ever and that is not the case here. This business does not advertise that they have countless possibilities but only offer 4 flavors at a time. That should be advertised but it is not. I called my family as i was close and my wife said you absolutely need to go. I do not care about the price but they also better be the BEST EVER GIVEN THE PRICE POINT, you can buy a CINAMMON ROLL at a fair for less. These were really bad.
I got the cake better. It was drier than the Sahara desert. I honestly wondered if the cake batter roll was made on like the previous Monday and given to me on Saturday it was SO DRY. It was AWFUL. My family loves sweets and that all stems from me and everyone thought the cake batter was awful.
Then onto the Traditional Cinnamon Roll, assuredly it would be amazing. It was far from it. It was very heavy on the cinnamon and did not tasted like it was worth $8.
I also got the Mixed Berry. It had some moisture but was not worth anywhere near $12. SAVE YOUR MONEY PEOPLE. I have no qualms paying for quality but that is not what you will be getting here.
You are also not told that your Cinnamon Rolls are being served warm so unless you eat them here, and not sure there was any seating available, the icing is going to be melted by the time you get home. I had to make one stop before going home and the icing looked like cottage cheese and shifted and it was not good. A heads up would have been good. Once again, for the price point, it needs to be amazing and no surprises. It needs to be like the first time you have ever had a Cinnamon roll and that is not what you are getting here.
I stopped at Crumble Cooke on the way home also. The website advertises cookies but the only thing on display was the 4 awful tasting Cinnamon Rolls so I went to Crumble cookie to buy my daughter a cookie on the way home and i am glad i did. I was jealous of her $5 cookie vs the $12 garbage i bought at this establishment.
We also went to Panera Bread that night, by chance, for dinner. My daughter ate the Cinnamon Roll at Panera Bread like she was eating the $8 cinnamon roll I bought at this place and it only cost $2 after her entre and drink. Long story short. Save your money and go to Panera, which I love, or your local grocery store to buy Cinnamon rolls as you will be completely wasting your money at this place.
To be fair, the service was REALLY GOOD, but the product is bad.
In closing, I have 4 people that LOVE PASTRIES and they did not even want to taste another of these after tasting the Party Cake and that told me everything. I have a teenage boy that eats me out of house and home and he walked away and did not want to eat anymore after eating 1/4 of the party cake. He did not even want to try the OG cinnamon roll. My wife stopped after 1/4 on one as well. My 12 year old daughter tried the 2nd but then gave it to me as it was bad.
Very Wordy but...
Read moreIf I could zero stars I would. My first visit to this place this week. I asked about the small cakes first before I made my purchase. The counter woman said they were all white cake inside with flavored icing. So I ordered the pumpkin cake. I asked, "are you sure it's white cake inside?" She said, "yes, absolutely." I also purchased 2 cookies. When I got home, I cut into the cake and it was NOT white cake, it was pumpkin. It was at least 3-4 days old, stale, hard, just disgusting. The cake was also heavily spiced. I felt like I was eating very spicy Indian Tikka Masala. Blah!!! My sister, when I was 6, made me cakes from an Easy Bake Oven that cooked the cakes with a light bulb. My sister's cakes from that oven were better than this pumpkin cake. Picture two hockey pucks covered in this gross, greasy, slimy frosting and you got the cake I purchased. Just terrible. And the price for this small gross cake was $10.00! Ridiculous! Hockey pucks from Amazon cost $1.60 a piece so if you wanted to make a hockey puck cake yourself, you could probably do it for about $3.40. Oh and by the way, the cookies sucked too. Now that I think about it, maybe the baker at this place is using Easy Bake Oven pre-mixed batter and cooking it in a light bulb oven. Do not waste your money...
Read moreGot a cake made for my baby shower - it looked beautiful on the outside .... but tasted absolutely horrible, super dry, not tasty & was huge so it all got thrown away !! I was extremely disappointed especially since everyone kept asking me where I got the beautiful cake from and I of course said from here and I had close to 100 people at my shower. & not a single person ate a whole piece, I even had to tell guests that the other deserts were from another bakery so they didn’t think those delicious treats came from the same place, because they didn’t!! And I’m so happy I only got a cake from here and not everything else! I wish I read the reviews on here sooner to see other people also got a dry tasteless cake. The price was manageable but not even worth the money I spent - with how bad the cake tasted - I could have baked a better cake. I never leave reviews and always love to support local. My shower was beautiful and the only thing that went wrong was the cake which was the center piece of the whole desert table that I foolishly talked up before ever eating.
If you want a beautiful cake I would recommend but if you want to eat the cake after photos I DO NOT. Not a good pick for a yummy cake. Hope I help someone out before they made the mistake I did.
Really sad about...
