Sometimes I walk this trail alone, usually after my wife catches me sneaking a couple Arby’s sammies. She says they’re bad for me and that her mother was right about me. I usually leave the house and grab a couple more roast beefies before walking this trail and reflecting on my life. Should I have gone to law school like I planned? Read moreNice place, there is some history there. We just walked, but the best here is to ride bicycle. If I'm not mistaken the trail goes till Philadelphia. There is bike repair station which was new for me (I haven't been there in quite some time). It's absolutely free. There is air pump and other tools which could be used to fix a bicycle.
The park itself is clean, but when you go toward the river/ shore garbage can be found (empty bottles, packaging from snacks). It's very sad that people don't care about the environment.

Read moreWalked this section of the towpath on 4th of July in the hot and humid weather. So there were very few people on the path. It was a great view of both the Delaware River and the canal and some basic wildlife viewing - lots of turtles, birds, and dragonflies. Hit the path in the afternoon so there was very little relief from the sun - some shady trees here and there and the bridge underpasses.
