Atria is classy flavor forward quality focused & intriguing take on dinner classics & new offering right in downtown Edgartown at 137 Main St, Edgartown, MA 02539. Atria itself is a higher end mid priced sit down evening dining experience that adorns the main floor & sizable outdoor garden dining experience, complete with a lovely fresh bar. On a recent vista (7/6/2021) the menu offerings ranged from Duck Confit Spring Rolls, 2lb Wok Fired Island Lobster, Wine Braised Short Ribs to name a few, but our go-to is a the refined & bustling with flavor Classic Burger. For a bit of different vibe, the Atria Brick Cellar is a hidden gem & where my personal taste lies. Upon entering the establishment & check in for the mostly reservation only seating, you will be escorted to the chic cellar bar & seating area that serves up a unique dining experience for those who prefer a bit more eclectic casual dining or spirit sipping engagement. The Atria Classic Burger is served up pink & juicy as preferred by the chef. Featuring all locally sourced fresh ingredients on the side, allowing the diner to assemble the perfect concoction. The Atria Classic Burger includes Cheddar Cheese, Sautéed Onions, Roasted Mushrooms, Tomatoes, Leafy Greens, Bacon, & Tarragon Aioli. Served with the upgraded Truffle Fries for a small upcharge, the offering delivers in a big way. I dream about this menu item when we are away from the island & long to make way way over to Atria when we return. If a flavorful burger is on your to-do list, the. I would highly recommend you focus you attention on the Brick Cellar as this location offered a special burger menu only available for these seating area. With a rotation offering of creative burgers, their is certainly something you’ll find that will peak you interest. Year after year we continue to enjoy Atria & specifically the Brick Cellar. If you plan to be in Martha’s Vineyard & are looking for a wonderful evening dining experience, make your way over to the Atria in Edgartown. This is the place locals & informed tourists frequent & I’m sure new comers will be pleased as well. Make your reservations at least a week in advance during peak season to make sure you solidify a spot at this hot gathering local & we you get their tell’em Scotty sent ya!

This place was so delightful and delicious, my wife and I went 2 nights in a row while visiting MV. On night one, we leaned into the seafood options b/c when in Rome. I had the Bobo's Two Pound Wok Fired Island Lobster; the fried take on a full lobster was new for me and I don't think I ever want it any other way after this super juicy and flavorful result (lovely mashed potatoes with it). My wife had the grilled swordfish, and while I didn't try it, she raved about how perfectly balanced in flavor (she doesn't normally like fish but loved this) and texture it was and she's still talking about it days later. Our friends had the Pan Roasted Duck Breast and Braised Catalan Chickpeas and they were clearly extremely happy with their choices. We all shared the truffle fries (I normally don't like truffle oil but this was amazing), beet salad, and starter ravioli -- and loved it. We had 4 different deserts and each was tastier than the last, especially the epic and super moist carrot cake. On night 2, we went the burger route and my wife and I each had half of the McRippoff and the smash burger and, omg, I would absolutely get the McRippoff once a week if I lived there. The wait staff was extremely friendly and on their game. We went to probably 5 other places on the island while we were there, and while we didn't have a single subpar experience, Atria shined above all the rest. Just wow.

I had high expectations for Atria, given its reputation and charming setting in a 19th-century sea captain's house in Edgartown. Unfortunately, my experience was far from what I had anticipated. My evening at Atria started on a sour note with a mix-up in our reservation. Despite booking a table weeks in advance, we were told upon arrival that there was no record of our reservation. After a lengthy wait and some heated discussions with the hostess, we were finally seated in the bustling brick cellar, which, contrary to its cozy description, felt cramped and noisy. The service throughout the night was inconsistent at best. Our waiter seemed more interested in chatting with the bartender than attending to our table. It took an eternity for our drinks to arrive, and when they did, the "Summer's Bounty G&T" I ordered was overly sweet and lacked the fresh, vibrant flavors promised on the menu. When it came to the food, the disappointment only grew. For starters, we had the Plancha Seared Georges Bank Scallops. The scallops were overcooked and rubbery, a stark contrast to the delicate, melt-in-your-mouth texture I was expecting. The accompanying carrot-ginger purée was bland and lacked the punch that a curried vinaigrette should deliver. The main course was an even greater letdown. My Grilled Thick Cut Swordfish was dry and lacked seasoning. The dill whipped potatoes were lumpy, and the crispy capers were anything but crispy. It felt like the dish had been sitting under a heat lamp for too long before being served. To make matters worse, the ambiance was marred by the loud and abrasive music from the DJ booth in the cellar. It was difficult to carry on a conversation, and the overall vibe felt more like a chaotic bar than a sophisticated dining establishment. Despite the promise of a diverse and exciting menu, the execution fell flat on nearly every front. The food was subpar, the service was lackluster, and the atmosphere was far from the relaxed elegance that Atria boasts about. Given the steep prices, I expected a top-notch dining experience but left feeling thoroughly disappointed and out of pocket. Atria might have been a celebrated destination once, but based on my experience, it seems to have lost its touch. I hope the owners can take this feedback seriously and make the necessary improvements. Until then, I would recommend looking elsewhere for a dining experience on...

Two weeks ago I came out of the closet and told my friends that I will be going by the name Arianna from now. I wanted to celebrate so I decided to take my friends to Atria for a dinner cus I heard so many good things about the place from my acquaintances, oh boy how wrong they were. Our troubles started when the server asked me what I would like to drink, now the problem arose when he said "Sir" instead of "Ma'am", this triggered my dysmorphia but I somehow stayed collected and politely asked me if he could refer to me as "Ma'am" to which he said with a smirk "Yes Sir". That's when I lost it and asked him to call the manager to which he replied "Right away Sir" and went away with a grin on his face. My eyes started swelling with tears but with thanks to my lovely friends I regained some of my composure. Then it got worse. The manager came and with a smile on her face asked me what was wrong and when I told her she just said "Oh you are one of those?" after which i asked what she meant by that. "You know one of those people that think they are women". At that point I lost it, I started crying and yelling at her while my friends tried to calm me down. I grabbed my bag and ran for the door, the manager then followed me and when she got closed whispered in my ear "You will never be a woman". I felt like I was about to faint, I ran out into the street and waited for my friends to call me an Uber. I barely had slept since that night, I have night terrors in which the manager chases me through the streets yelling "You will never be a woman". I have seen my therapist three times in the past two weeks and she said I might have developed PTSD. All because I wanted to celebrate with my friends. You should be ashamed for having bigots like that...
