Edgartown Diner — Restaurant in Edgartown

This place used to be great back in the day, but not so much anymore. I have no idea what happened. We used to come here all the time for spaghetti pie and sweet tea. On our last visit, it was an off-peak season Tuesday at 11:45 am, and they informed us they were 'out' of sweet tea and spaghetti pie already. How can you run out of tea and your main dish BEFORE lunch even begins?

The burgers are so-so, and have definitely grown smaller over the years. A buddy ordered the tuna fish melt, and it was horrible. It was literally canned tunafish slapped on 2 pieces of plain bread and grilled for a few minutes. That was it. And it was $12. We could have lobster rolls at The Shanty for $19 instead of that mess for $12.

The service was horrible too. It took 10 minutes for us to get drink refills even though our waitress only had 2 other tables.

Not sure what has happened here. This place used to be great, but save your time and money and go somewhere...

This was our fourth year dining and the first year we were thoroughly disappointed. The service was poor. We weren’t greeted or given waters. When we ordered she kept pushing us and was in a hurry and didn’t let us ask questions. The pancakes came out cold and overdone and we have to wait 5 minutes for syrup which was syrup packets from McDonald’s not real syrup which they let us know when we paid that we should have asked for real maple syrup for $2.00 more but we weren’t informed anywhere on the menu they have real maple syrup. The French toast was not on Texas bread but white sandwich bread which made it thin, cold and cardboard in texture no flavor not hot and shocked to pay restaurant prices for such cheap quality food that frankly was worse than McDonald’s to be honest. It’s not fair to have people pay for sub quality and then have the service be poor on top of it. It’s really unfair and sad to...

Ate here for dinner one night during our vacation. TERRIBLE experience and I'm writing this to save others from getting ripped off. Only other customers were friends of the employees. A man who was clearly the owner or manager walked out at one point and passed out beers to his friends. They all talked loudly while they drank the beers. The friends eventually left but the man continued to talk on his cell phone loudly. Food was bad and clearly fresh from microwave. Overpriced to say the least. After dinner, I walked to the bus station near by where this man was also using the public facilities. He used the restroom and DID NOT wash his hands. Calling sanitation department to check this place out. I think he positive reviews on here are written by friends of owner. Stay away...
