I haven’t been here in a long time due to an encounter with a rude staff, bad services, and quality of food. When they first opened it was wonderful! I was stoked to have a Korean restaurant in Edmond instead of having to drive to Midwest City for a Korean fix. As time passes the service and quality went downhill. I’m uncertain if they got new owners but the last time I was here about a year ago I bought $10 worth of Kim chi for my mother in law. When she opened it there was a fly in it. I immediately brought it back the next day and was refunded the money. I saw them take Kim chi from a giant white bucket into the smaller container they sold it to me so I’m not sure if they trashed it or kept it to serve to future customer. I just stayed away for a long time to be safe until today. I got to the restaurant around 7:10pm. The place closed at 8pm. Right away we felt very rushed to order immediately after seating. We are a family of four (2 adults and 2 kids) but were only brought two waters, and two sets of utensils. After we ordered two entrees, I asked for four bowls of rice and the waitress told us that we only get two rice bowls since we ordered only two entrees, but honestly, it’s rice, if we have to pay more, so what? Just let us know it’s an extra charge and move on. They like expected us to share two small rice bowls between the two of us?! I have never experienced a Korean place where asking for white rice was such a big deal to the restaurant that they make a deal about it! Also, the banchans they bring out was just four plates?! The Korean places I go to there’s a plethora of side dishes and they give plenty of refills. When we asked for refills the same waitress told us they ran out because they’re closing soon. It was 7:50pm. Seeing that I went ahead and paid so they can close the register to be polite. There were about 6 tables when we got there and only 3 left at this time so it’s not like we are the only table left. Surprised, the waitress came back and brought three side dishes, one of which was pickled veggies that we didn’t even get the first time! Already annoyed with this waitress I debated whether I should tip her but decided to tip her $3 for $37 of food where I was charged $3 for rice. I knew I would get charged for it when she made a big deal about it but she should have said that there is a charge but whatever, it’s $3. Then I packed up the food so we can finish eating at home and while my husband was holding the plate for me to scoop the food making sure not to get any of the sauce because I know it’ll spill in the car or on us. The same rude waitress walked up and took the plate and pour it into our to go box sauce included and it spilled everywhere and touched the rest of our food. Then she starts reaching for what we thought was the gochujang bottle so my husband handed it to her but she wanted the check. She grabbed it and right away started saying, “that’s it? You give tip 3 dollars?” She took her pen and pointed to where the suggested tip was that said something like $7.80 and I gave her this raised eyebrow look and said, “yes that is what I give you.” And she continues to mutter something like this is your total and continues to point to the suggested tip in broken English that I could not understand. I got up and we all walk away since my husband had spilled the sauce that lady poured into our container on himself. We were shocked by what she said and honestly, I wished I had grabbed the pen and marked out the tip to give her zero $. I will never come back here and looking at the reviews recently someone complained about an aggressive waitress and I am certain it is the same one. The quality of the food? Way too salty and the squid was overcooked. I didn’t say anything thinking it was me but when my husband said, “is it me or the food is not good,” and the food is just not good. For the people that think this place is good, do yourself a favor and go to OK Ko-Mart and eat at the Korean restaurant inside called Hawaiian Bar-B-Q and you will never look back.

I am far from an expert on Korean food, but the more of it I eat the better I like it. It is becoming one of my top favorite cuisines. My preferences are for it to not be drowned in oil, and to be fresh with lots of flavor and spice. The Bulgogi Korean Bistro exceeded my expectations in those requirements! I can summarize the food experience very quickly; everything served to us was excellent! Delicious! I wanted to give Bulgogi Korean Bistro 5 stars, but there was just one critical flaw with my Yukgaejang. There was not a single piece of beef in it. None “0!” It is described as a spicy beef stew, soooo I assumed it would have some beef in it. Anyway it did not. It did have an egg in it. I think something just went wrong in the kitchen and it was an over site. Regardless it was delicious. My wife had the Hot Stone Bowl Bulgogi. There was lots of beef in it and it was good. There was enough to share and we still had plenty. Is it authentic or Americanized? Don’t know, don’t care! For my preferences this was some very best Korean food I have had. The service is average. The restaurant is clean. Don’t pass up the Fried Dumpling appetizers!

If you are looking for a quick place to get tasty Korean food, I highly recommend Bulgogi Bistro in Edmond. I had the Beef Bulgogi rice bowl and it was a “more than adequate” portion. The restaurant is very clean. The staff is polite and welcoming. The prices are reasonable and you can expect to pay about $20 to $25 per person (unless it’s during their “lunch special” times) then you’ll find some deals. I’ve ate at plenty of Korean restaurants (former Army here) and this place tops my list of favorites. I love the family set up they give you (there was a ton of treats that was given to me even though I was eating by myself). The kimchi has just enough bite to it. You’ll definitely follow it with their very tasty sticky rice. It seems like it’s a family owned restaurant and everyone who works there is keeping busy by cleaning, preparing or maintaining the restaurant. If you’re looking to stop by, it’s in a strip mall near the Target and Chick Fil-A off 2nd street and Bryant in Edmond.

Very horrible customer service first when I ordered there was a lady who could not explain the menu I told her this was my fisrt time ordering from here and asked her what is popular she could not tell me so I ordered Koren bbq ribs. So when I picked it up she called me Derrick and she didn't ask for my phone number or what I ordered. Mind you there was 4 pick up items on the counter. So I told her what I ordered and then she pushed it to me I said I wanted to add a soda she rung it up and I gave her my money she did not hang it back to me I reached on the counter to get it and the same with my drink she did not hand it to me. Very rude people. I got home tasted my food that was not what I ordered so I called the young man was rude said the manager was not there and did not know when she would be there. So the lady that took my order got on the phone and said she asked her Manger and nothing she could do about it sorry. Nobody never complains I said I am my food was wrong and I'm not satisfied. I asked what she could do about she said nothing. Sorry sorry so no refund or something else I could order. Hell the meat was chewy and undercooked did not ask how I want it cooked just a hurry up rush order to make they money. It would have been nice if I got what I ordered. The lady and the man was rude like they didn't care I will not be back for the bad customer service so now I have no dinner which I spent 24.00 lesson learn if they mess up I guess it's your fault well wrong anyone I know I will let them know about that place that lives in Edmond. BAD...
