We eat here at least twice a week, and it is so nice to see the business thriving. Their food is delicious and extremely consistent. Have eaten here at least 30 times and have literally never had a bad meal or experience. You don’t usually get that kind of consistency out of any business, especially restaurants.
My wife usually gets the ground beef tacos and I am a huge fan of their tacos. Their Chimichanga is outstanding also. Their tripas are better than anywhere I’ve ever had them, also their birria is delicious and tender. They also have extremely good carnitas. Really every taco I’ve had there is good, but those three are by far my favorites. I keep saying I’m going to try other things but their tacos are so good I just end up getting the same thing every time. Their green salsa is outstanding, the pico is always fresh and tasty, really the whole salsa bar is excellent. My wife is addicted to the pickled carrots. I also like that they put out grilled onions and Serrano peppers at the salsa bar. One thing my wife and I have noticed is that we always feel great after eating their food, and never have that gross feeling you can get after eating out at places with lots of processed foods. I think this speaks to the freshness and ingredient quality of this restaurant.
Their prices are very reasonable, enough so that we basically don’t eat fast food anymore when we don’t feel like cooking or doing something fancier, we just head to los 2 tapatios. One thing that is also nice is that the staff has been basically the same exact people since day 1, with a couple people who are newer hires maybe, but they all seem to work well together. This restaurant is always very clean.
Overall, can’t say enough good things about this place. We are relocating from Edmond in a month or two and I am going to be sad to not get the chance to enjoy them when we leave. I hope they continue to thrive and grow their business because they are doing things the right way. Serving awesome food at a price that...
Read moreI have never seen a business start an altercation over chips. A literal screaming altercation. We had ordered our meal at the counter and the order included a side of chips and guacamole. We paid for the order and TIPPED prior to sitting down. When the food came out, the guacamole came without chips. We let the person know that we had ordered chips. She started arguing with us about whether or not we had ordered the chips. We said, if not, we still would like to have chips with the guacamole. She storms back to the counter, prints off a copy of the ticket to "prove" we didn't order chips...we were like, ok, well, can we order some chips then please. She says "I already did" and stormed off. We finished out meal, waited for another 5 minutes...no chips. We went up to the counter to inquire about the chips and she said "I changed my mind about them because you gave me so much attitude". (Ok, well, thanks for letting us know, we will just take our giant bowl of guacamole and go across the street to sprouts and buy chips to eat it with...and oh, by the way...can I change my mind about the TIP I already gave you? No, you say??). We told her, listen, all we wanted was chips, this was not a big deal. She proceeded to yell at us that she doesn't want customers like us and that we're not good business. As we were walking out the door, I heard her yell...You don't need to come back here trying to steal chips! I honestly cannot make this up. I thought I was in an episode of Seinfeld "No Soup for You"!. This was such a horrible experience, we're still shaking. By the way, and for reference, those chips were $1.25 on the menu. ONE DOLLAR and TWENTY FIVE CENTS. ...
Read moreThe best Mexican restaurant I have ever visited, and I have visited quite a few. Amazingly delicious and fresh food that best of all is the most affordable in Edmond, possibly the entire OKC metro area to be honest. They have an extensive menu, a well stocked salsa bar and various drink choices. Ranging from glass bottled Mexican Coke, Fountain Drinks, freshly made Pina, Melon and my personal favorite Horchata. Best of all the fountain drinks, Pina, Melon and Horchata come with free unlimited refills during your visit. The restaurant is always immaculately clean when I have visited to include the table tops. The staff are friendly and have never given us any grief when asking questions or asking for a to go box after dining in. When dining at the restaurant, you order from the counter and seat yourself but they bring your food to the table. After you have finished eating, you dispose of any leftovers and trash in the trash can near the door and place your dirty plates in a container located on top of the trash can. The restrooms can be found in the back of the restaurant's dining area and consist of a clean male and female restroom that is accessible to individuals in wheelchairs. Overall this is one of our favorite restaurants in all of Edmond. Their beef tacos are amazing and their fried pork quesadilla is savory and has never been hard or dry. I will mention though that some dishes can be very spicy, so it's best to ask when ordering if you are not a fan of spicy food like myself. Also the queso is pretty spicy, so just keep that in mind when ordering...
