I want to first clarify that we love Taco Bueno, but somehow this specific location in Edmond is different. Last night we went there to get dinner for our family of 4, once we got home, we noticed that 1/2 of our food was missing,. At this point, I was frustrated, but not mad yet. I asked my teenager daughter to go back and have it corrected. She took all the food back, and because it is important for us to eat together as a family, she asked them to remake the order so half of us would not eat cold food. Then she called me crying the poor excuse for a human who she spoke to was yelling at her, saying that he would not redo the order. This is a grown man, yelling at a kid because he was not good enough of an employee to make sure we received what we paid for. Because of his attitude we did not feel safe to eat any food he prepared, so she asked for a refund instead, which he refused. She waited for 20 minutes, while he begrudgingly completed this order, yelling the entire time about how stupid this was and thowing things around. She got home with the correct number of items, however all the steak tacos we ordered were replaced by beef tacos, and a quesadilla, meant for a vegetarian family member, had meat in it. At this point it did not matter what was in that bag, we did not feel safe eating that food, threw it away and went to Chik fil A $50.00 and 1 hour of our time wasted, and no food at all, this was very frustrating, but the way my daughter was treated was infuriating. This was a completely hostile environment and the employees cannot put an order together. It should've not been that difficult we are talking about food for 4 people, not a large group, also there was no customization we ordered the items right out of their menu. I am never going back and I'm telling everyone I know how terrible this place is. I will also write to the corporate office, since I would like to know if someone was treating my customers that way. Don't waste your time and money...
Read moreMama always said life is like a Taco Bueno - you never know what you're gonna get! I used to eat here all the time and it was really good. This was 10 years ago. Since then, the product and service quality kind of comes and goes. There was a manager there at night that was just horrible. He would verbally attack and abuse me when I would just ask for a water or no cheese on my food. It was the weirdest thing. I called and complained about him on two separate occasions and nobody really seemed to care. I even asked people at the window what was wrong with him? And they told me that's how he is and they mainly just ignore him. And they didn't apologize for messing up my food or giving me cold food. No smile, no greeting. And these are the people that want to raise minimum wage?! Haha! This place can be really good. I try to call and thank them or do the survey when it's really good! Hopefully that encourages them to do a good job. Sometimes at Night, the Lights are even off and I have called them before to make sure they were open and they said yes and they didn't know the lights were off. Seems like maybe they did it so people wouldn't come or something. Anyways, I think this place just depends on the staff that works there at the time. Hopefully upper management pays close enough attention to the surveys and who works there and what they are doing for their company! Seriously. This place is so hit-or-miss. My friend and I used to always come here and talk about it! Now we talk about it and he agrees he tries to stay away but sometimes it's good. So I know it's not just me! If they would work on consistency and customer service, they would have it down! The food is usually prepared pretty quickly. I used to get so EXCITED about this place. So did my sister, and my friends. I miss those...
Read moreI have been by this TB restaurant over the years and have never stopped in prior to this afternoon. Some of my coworkers have raved about going over on "Taco Tuesday" and so I decided to give it a try today and it was quite an experience. First and foremost, the restaurant needs a complete update. The pungent odor, outdated fixtures and overall "dirty" of the restaurant left me questioning my decision to stay and eat but I placed an order and hoped for the best. Food quality was good at best, the taco was great and the quesadilla was half warm and half cold. There was so much cheese I could barely taste any chicken. It must have hit the microwave as it was on the tray before I could finish pouring my drink at the counter. I spent $8 today for a taco, quesadilla and a medium drink and I felt that I was robbed. The taco met my standards but the quesadilla was just horrible. I have heard that most of the TB restaurants are actually company-owned and not by franchisee so one of the parties needs to step in and close this down for a month to remodel from floor to ceiling or find a better, new location closer to I-35. I had an issue with an OKC TB a few months ago and called the corporate office in Texas and a Customer Service Manager based in Tulsa, OK, called me and sent me $15 in coupons. It was an insult to me in the manner it was handled. I am not sure why these corporations cannot get quality people who truly understand providing, teaching and expecting exceptional customer service and food prep. I will never return to this TB nor recommend it to anyone. Edmond has the highest income area in the state and if this is acceptable in this area I am truly scared on the customer expectations for this area. I thought the standards would be...
