Sweet Friends Bakery — Restaurant in Edmond

*it pains me to do this but I must edit my 5 star review.

I frequent this bakery “weekly” due to their gluten friendly items (brownies & choc chip pecan cookies).

Unfortunately, today was the 3rd time I walked away with nothing because they were out of gluten friendly brownies.

It was just before noon and as they’ve explained my previous visits, “it was a crazy morning & we’re sold out of a lot!” I asked if they were baking more (since the bakery is open for another 2 1/2 hours plus), and was advised they were not.

I wait all week for this treat so it’s a real bummer to miss out.

The bakery closes at 2:30 on Saturday and doesn’t open again until Tuesday so it’s not like I can “come back tomorrow”.

Please 🙏 bake more brownies on Saturday’s since you are consistently selling out!

My initial visit happened to be 20 minutes before closing and I worried about walking in so close but knew I was getting items to go so I woukdnt be long.

The young girl cleaning up greeted me with a smile and happily walked over to the case to show me all of the gluten-free items, by request.

She didn’t try to hurry me through in fact, I had a question about one item in particular and she took the time to text the owner (and the owner responded within minutes)!

Impressive service! Even more impressive were the gf pastries. It’s not often you find this many gluten- friendly choices, let alone options that taste so good! I challenge you to find this anywhere else in the state.

Thank you for existing, sweet friends bakery!! I will visit you often and will suggest the same to every single friend and family!!

The absolute BEST bakery in Edmond, and maybe even the state!! The owner has been such a joy to work with. We came to her with a special family recipe requested by my fiancé. We had tried dozens of other bakeries, many saying that it can't be done, or they attempted, and it tasted off. None of them could really come close. We were beginning to lose hope. Until we came to Sweet Friends Bakery!! The owner, Nicole is the only one who as ever come close to making our family recipe, a Banana Nut Cake. It's an unusual request for a wedding cake, and she not only agreed to do it for us, but she did it perfectly. We are also getting a variety of cupcakes for the wedding! That was the first thing I noticed about them! They have one of the largest cupcake varieties I have EVER seen! And they are SO good! We have been dealing with a family member who is losing a battle to a terminal illness. So it's made planning a little bit hectic, and it's been really hard some days. The Owner is one of the nicest people I have ever worked with, and she is really talented at what she does. Her bakery items, especially her cake and cupcakes not only taste amazing, but they are so beautiful. You can tell she really enjoys what she does, and puts love into the food she makes. Their shop is also so cute! They sell local flowers, candles, and other food items besides just sweets! And they sell amazing coffee too, because coffee always pairs so well...

I’m so happy that we tried Sweet Friends Bakery today! The staff were so welcoming and kind, and they had a bunch of different food and drink options available! Not only was everything delicious, but they had a kids area with a play kitchen, play coffee station, and a bunch of books and toys! My 17 month old had a BLAST, and I was actually able to sit and finish my entire coffee while she played (that doesn’t even happen at home!). My daughter is usually so shy with strangers, but she went up to the sweet girl working and tried to play with her. They were a bit slow while we were there, and the super kind barista took a minute to interact with my toddler - so sweet! Even if you don’t have kids, this seemed like the perfect place to enjoy coffee with a friend or loved one, study, or just enjoy a delicious treat in your spare time! This is our new favorite spot and I will definitely be frequenting this space! Thank you for your kind staff and intentional treats. You can tell that the owner really cares about what she puts into all of her creations and the quality of service her business puts out....
