Didn't have any food. Love the look of the establishment, plus if you want outside seating, the main street I feel wouldn't be a bad backdrop. Service didn't feel real to me. I get he's a bartender/table service person, but I basically heard the same spiel to each table and he never came back to ask if everything was good or not. (Biased: there were only 6 tables with people) I can't really say never though, he did swing by me 30 minutes after my flight was presented and asked if it was ok. Non of the tables I heard nearby had such.
Beer:
IPA of the moment (session)- Smells of pear (could be from old line that used a pear IPA last) and fresh Citra fields and honey. Good looking straw color. Taste has a strong hop and finishes with can only be described as a sweet peanut taste.
Harvest ale 4.2-More gold then the session. Smells of milk and honey. Has a taste that reminds me of a peanut butter honey golden I like a lot. Minus the peanut butter. Do get a sensation of just eaten peanut butter though after swallowing though now.
Citra pale 5.2- The coloring makes it easy for these, gradually getting darker, more gold again. Smell the citra and a fresh beer floral aspect. Get more of the cascade hop followed by pith, not the best ending note.
Drop anchor IPA 7.2- Hazy yellow with honey colors. Not a huge nose with this. Small nose of pineapple and citra hop. Well rounded IPA.
Mosaic IPA 6.7- Amber/golden hue. Faintly smells of floral, but mostly but just a beer hop smell. In the taste though I get a much better floral flavor (not Saison level so don't freak out IPA fans) that does great with the Mosaic. First time I think I've liked a beer that used the falconer.
Big chocolate lover 8.2- Midnight black. A little head is still present with a slight color of mocha. Tame smokey tinge to the roasted notes, mixed with a dash of bitter chocolate. Best beer from my choice and the 8.2 is deceiving. Velvet taste of bitter chocolate. Would love to try this if they somehow did...
Read moreService and the "vibe" was perfect. Went there at 3 in a saturday afternoon....it was packed! So it seemed like the time to avoid the rush is from 4-5 (pro- tip). They do have outside seating but the heaters were not in so it was a little cold for many. But did have ab outdoor European pub feel outside. Especially with the views of the water!!!
The breadstick appetizer was very good it was extremely unique unlike any breadsticks I've ever had they were kind of curly and almost tasted deep-fried but we're clean and fresh. It came with both a marinera ( not very good as it was a little watery) and a cheese sauce the was clearly the star of the plate.... extremely good on their breadsticks. With coming back for.
The pastrami sandwich looked and sounded delicious kind of like a classic Ruben. However it did not taste very good and I would not recommend it especially if you're from the east coast and you think I'm a pastrami sandwich of having big thick amounts of meat on it. It had way too much sauce and the coleslaw they put on it was too wet and the combo probably just didn't not have enough meat to carry all of that sauce and toppings.
However one of the side options is a Caesar salad and it was gigantic and tasted wonderful I would highly recommended as one of the of the side dishes.
The Greek salad was a good size and had exactly the taste one would expect from a Greek salad so I give it high marks for being right on the mark for a delicious Greek salad.
We were a little surprised about how few beers they actually had on tap there were only about 8 or 10. However it was a good variety good taste and as I mentioned good service all the...
Read moreWas on a girls trip with some college friends and tried to go here. Came here after seeing the Barbie movie with my friends and true to our form, we committed to the bit and dressed up and were carrying matching Barbies. Once seated, our server came and sat down on the bench across from us and asked for our IDs. We are all 23 and again, met in college and live in different states so we have IDs from varying places. I handed him my Montana ID and barely giving it a glance, he says “seriously?”. When my friends gave him theirs, he sees the states and said “yeah, I’m not going to do that” in an incredibly condescending manner. He stood up and, gesturing at our outfits and our Barbies, proceeded to say “I mean, don’t do that…” with a very patronizing look. He also directly mentioned the Barbies in this encounter. After many confused and inquisitive glances from us, he backtracks and talks about the IDs again as apparently the IDs from different states mean they’re likely fake. My friend asked if there was a way he could validate them and he said there wasn’t a way to do that. As we were leaving, he said “you can take them back” referring to our IDs. Went to a restaurant down the street and had no problem getting served. Whole interaction was condescending and humiliating and it felt like he had his mind made up before he even sat down. My brother in Christ, you really think I would show up to your brewery dressed as denim Barbie toting denim Barbie if I was also packing a...
