We decided to give it another try which prompted me to write this review. First of all, the service is atrocious. The place is dirty and the plate-ware looks like something from a Denny's yard-sale. It took a long time for the food to arrive. When it did, we were served a lot of ban chan - 12 pieces to be exact which seems generous on the surface. However, I would rather have fewer pieces and a greater quantity in each, particularly the kimchi. They served the ban chan without rice. When I asked them for rice, they impatiently replied that I should wait and it would be forthcoming. We then received our other orders of Seafood Pancake (Haemul Pajoeon) and Chicken Bibimbap (I concluded the rice was in the bibimbap and that was meant to serve as the side rice for the ban chan, well - ok). The seafood pancake proved challenging in terms of finding any seafood - it was mostly pancake. The Bibimbap, while served in a traditional stone bowl had a lot of rice, but VERY little diced chicken. I expected a healthy serving of grilled chicken strips in that bowl. All of it was extremely salty. We asked for water repeatedly but never got any. We had to go up to the cashier to ask to have our teas refilled. Meanwhile a buser was cleaning the table next to us, spraying windex or some cleaning agent on the table, which immediately wafted over to us while we were eating - that really killed the experience for good....
Read moreWe ordered a fish egg soft tofu soup (medium spicy), a pan fried fish (e-myun-soo, the one on very top of the menu in fish dishes), stir fried squid (spicy) This place is famous for their soft tofu soup originally, but they have so many varieties of different korean foods n some fusion ones as well The soup was excellent, perfectly seasoned, great medium spicy taste The squid dish was good also, spicy enough n well seasoned, wish there was more squid in it The fish seemed perfectly cooked outside, but inside tasted a bit too soft(?) Maybe it's that kind of fish Its texture was a lot different than what i remember of from what i used to eat Don't order the fish Isn't Seattle supposed to have a better quality fish in my opinion? Overall, not bad I don't know the price because i didn't pay Not on the cheap side for sure if i try to remember...
Read moreVery nice homey and quality Korean restaurant. My second time here and the spicy pork stir fry is a must. This time around we did a pan fried mackerel, shrimp fried rice, spicy pork stir fry and spicy galbi beef bbQ. The galbi was the new awesome. Not too much spice but juicy, saucy and sweet with the perfect textures complimented by the veggies. The side dishes we had was in 12 sets in the middle and came with 4 side rice. There was 5 of us so we added a plate of shrimp fried rice. The fish was fresh and juicy inside while crisp on the outside. You can't beat the textures and flavors from the sides they offer. They go very well with all our main course and is very well recommended for a balanced and healthy selection. Aside from the food, the staff was very polite and parking was decent for a usual Sunday that...
