I saw this food truck (trailer) on my way down to Edmonds and decided to try it on the way home thinking it was Mexican. Turns out it's Honduran. If you've followed my reviews, you know I can be critical when the food is bad or bland. Well, I'm happy to report this place is delicious! I ordered Plato fuerte, which is chicken on a bed of sliced and fried banana. The chicken had light, crispy skin with a beautiful crunch as you bite. Then you get tender, juicy, well spiced chicken inside. When I say spiced, I don't mean hot spice, I mean well seasoned flavor. The bananas were a nice change from fries and come with dipping sauces. The side dish had shredded cabbage, Pico, and a beat, onion, jalapeño mix. I ended up mixing it all together, and it had some heat to it. I would say the salad needed salt but I try not to add salt to my food. Since this is 5 minutes from home, I'll be eating here again. Highly recommend.

Delicious. The owner is very kind and friendly, the food is fresh, feels homemade, as if I were a guest in his home. I am not familiar with Honduran food, but the Honduran enchiladas to me are more comparable to the tostada in form. The mashed potato was a surprise and a fun twist to my inexperienced palate. The sauce on top of the cabbage adds an extra dimension, balancing the meat with a pleasant acidity that beckons me to take the next bite. We also ordered the quesa birria con consomme, which was a huge portion packed with slow-roasted beef, melted cheese, and a lovely dipping broth. The owner mentioned the recipes were passed down several generations. That was the theme across their dishes, a respect and reverence for what came before, treating everyone as a friend, and welcoming you to their casa with a great meal.

So we debated coming because we weren’t sure we just wanted another “enchilada.” Honduran enchiladas are totally different. Lots of flavors with the mildly spicy pickled onions, ground beef has amazing seasoning, super crunchy corn tortillas on the bottom. My husband was totally happy with his veggie Honduran enchilada. My food sensitivity kiddo actually loved the cheese quesadilla and my husband was commenting how it was toasted on the inside and outside and had a really good cheese inside. Seating is outside with a covered area. Pricing is good for the area. We stopped on the way off the Ferry for a quick bite and will be returning just to eat here. I had to try this place because of the 80+ 5 star reviews and yup, I a giving it 5 stars too.

Recently, my brother and I took a trip from CA to WA for a wedding. Anytime we travel, we make it a point to indulge ourselves in the food culture, especially in a place we've never been before. Everyone is always raving about Pike Place and how "you've got to try seafood in Seattle, it's the best!" However, it's not the oysters or the Starbucks coffee that captured my little foodie heart ; it was a wonderful Honduran food-truck in the Firdale Village Shopping Plaza - La Casa De Amigos.

From the warm greetings of the amazing staff, to the menu bursting with authentic spices and flavors with a little California flare to boot, it was basically love at first bite.

We tried the Honduran enchiladas, a taco plate, and we ordered the Fried chicken leg to take home. The staff was so willing to answer our questions about the food, and more interestingly, they shared with us the story of how this food-truck came to be. For the owner's it was a labor of love, and that is absolutely reflected in every dish we got.

If you're in the area, I highly recommend you stop by and grab a plate (or two or three). My brother and I already can't wait to be back on our next trip! Thank you to the kind people at La...

Caveat, this was takeout, and we didn't touch the food until 20 mins after picking up the order. Which we were on premise to order and pick up. Perhaps different if we ate on site. Also, I'm a bit bias towards Cali and Tex Mex and some Tex Honduran and haven't found any good WA Mex yet. Was looking forward to trying La Casa!

We'll start with location. Easy to find and lots of parking. Huge trailer "food truck" and covered seating but no heaters. The service was usually, nothing memorable nor was it bad.

Honduran Enchiladas. Tostadas was crispy and like the pickle that it came with but no sauce, flavor a bit bland.

Torta with Birria. Was recommended Birria however this made the torta soggy. Ruin the texture, perhaps best if eaten immediately.

Quesadilla with Asada. This had a lot of asada but was dry and most bites didn't taste any cheese. Sour cream, dice onion/tomatoes and some aioli like sauce was provided but still didn't help with dry meat.

This is a food truck and order to go. IMHO still don't like them turning the kiosk to add tip. There was no service other handing the bag of food! I still gave tip but with this and food, reluctant to return but for first timers, it is...

I loved that not only was the food AMAZING!! The owner, Dimas, was super friendly and super helpful in ensuring I got a chance to try something new and exceptionally yummy!

The Honduran Enchiladas are ridiculously delicious and not your standard enchilada.

The QuesaBirria tacos were simply mouth watering.

And the Cali Tacos finally found its home in Washington because this is by far the best meat prep I’ve ever tasted. I’m a huge fan of Tacos Chukis if that helps you to compare. I’ve not found a place that can top my love for their tacos- but I think last night Chukis made its way to my number 2 spot and La Casa de Amigos has made its way to number 1 with a big bang!

I can’t enjoy express how many people I told about this place and I went in last night (Friday 9/20) and I’m on my way now to take my partner so he can enjoy them himself too!

This place is a 10/10 in quality food, cleanliness and atmosphere. The outdoor seating is tidy and covered so rain or shine you can enjoy your food. And the heaters are an added bonus!

If you’ve been searching for your next bite- this is it. And you should be...
