They opened a few days ago and today I decided to try this place out.
Happy to report that the food was great!!
I had: lentil soup Arabic-style chicken shawarma baba ghanoush
Highlights from the meal:
tasted like everything was a real recipe cooked with care and fresh ingredients.
In fact, the first thing I noticed when I walked in was the delicious smell of flame grilled marinated chicken… And when I saw it cooking on the grill, I even changed my order from beef to chicken because I couldn’t resist :)
The Shawarma had a nice balance of crisp, bright vegetables/pickle, yummy marinated and tender meat, and a tangy sauce that tied everything together in a cohesive manner. This was much better than the Shawarma experiences I’ve had from most other fast casual Mediterranean places that (In my opinion) are notorious for hiding a bland and or greasy pile of meat behind a lonely tomato slice, piece of lettuce, and way too much tzatziki sauce.
Lentil soup served as the perfect appetizer… The consistency was just right, not too thick or thin, with a bright and properly level of salt/seasoning To wake up the pallet and get me excited to dig into the rest of it.
The baba ghanoush was also delicious… the appearance, texture and flavor we’re better than what I’ve had at a lot of other places and it makes me think that the baba ghanoush is also made from scratch in-house like the soup.
Other thing I thought that was pretty cool was that - despite this place having only been open a few days - the two customers that walked in after me were repeat customers. I thought to myself “that’s a promising sign”… and,… after eating my meal, This proved to...
Read moreI had such a great experience at this restaurant that I just had to leave a review. First of all, the food was absolutely fantastic — fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Every bite had that perfect balance of quality and taste you hope for but rarely find. You can really tell they care about what they're serving.
But what really stood out to me was the customer service. I accidentally placed my order at a different location of the same restaurant, and by the time I realized it, I was already at this one. I explained the mix-up to the staff, and without any hesitation, they kindly cancelled the original order and prepared a fresh one for me right there. They handled the whole thing with such grace and understanding. just awesome!!!...
Read moreAfter a long day in Seattle downtown, we found the best spot for dinner. We ordered the falafel veggie platter and Sababa Fries. The service was amazing and kind. They were all joyful and helpful. The Sababa fries were so tasty and delicious. It is a must buy. The veggie platter was also great with fried cauliflower, rice, salad, and hummus. After talking to the owner about our traveling, we loved this place so much that we needed to go again before our flight. The owner recommended us the Northgate location near the airport and was gracious enough to let us go a few minutes earlier before it opened due to our busy schedule. This resteraunt is not only amazing in food quality, but also service is...
