Normally I love Qdoba's food. I'll happily wolf down a burrito the size of my head with a smile on my face. But my latest experience was horrendous.
I spent nearly 30 minutes trying to get the app to work, to no avail. Sign-in issues, pages not loading, and a myriad of other issues culminating with finally completing my order only for the "Place Order" button at checkout to never become clickable. But my order, one Brisket Birria burrito with chips & queso and a drink, came out to $17 and some change after tax.
So I decided to just place the order in-person. Not like I used any online-exclusive deals or anything. I'd miss out on some reward points, big whoop. So I recreate my order to the exact detail, Brisket Birria Burrito, add on chips and a drink to make it a meal. Except suddenly my total is almost $23.
I tried to tell the cashier it didn't seem right, and it was $5-6 less on the app, but he just looked at me with glazed eyes and listed off the items on my order and repeated the total.
Okay, bummer, not the end of the world but really strange and frustrating. Having to pay more because the app doesn't work? Or maybe the cashier didn't press the "Make it a Meal" button or perhaps didn't have one? It sucks, but I just got off work, I just want my food so I can go home and eat.
After eating, everything seemed okay at first. But within an hour my stomach starts to feel strange, and it just got worse as the night went on. Cut to the next day and I'm completely nauseous with no appetite, and dealing with the urge to purge all day, with nothing ever coming out despite the unshakable feeling that it could any moment.
So I'm leaving a 1-star review for this location, and warning people away from a location with uncaring service and potentially...
Read moreWe ordered online food for curbside pickup, and when my wife (and kids) arrived to pick up the food she was instructed to pull up with her hazards on and text the appropriate number.
She sat for 5 minutes without receiving the food. That is no big deal, it is lunch time and restaurants are busy. So she decides to call the store to let them know she is there and is promptly put on hold, where she then sat for another 15 minutes.
Eventually she walked into the store, which is not ideal when you schedule curbside pickup and have two young kids with you, and informed the attendant that she had been on hold and she had text the number supplied to her. She was met with, "Well if you pull along the side we know you are for curbside and will come out." Which is contradictory to what we were instructed via the online order. Then my wife informed her that she had also text the number, with which she was met, "Oh I don't have my iPad on me, sorry."
So either there is no communication between the expectations of the customer from online orders to the staff working at the time, or the staff failed to follow the implementation that seems abundantly clear.
Frankly, it has been a year now since everyone has been dining remote and using curbside, and the fact that so many systems were in place and failed is not really excusable. So now we have $25 worth of cold food that we no longer have the time to sit down and eat, as we have our own work and life schedules.
I am typing this less as a review of the food and more as a review of service provided. I called the store in hopes to talk to a manager, but to no one's surprise, was...
Read moreI only get to enjoy Qdoba once a month and most of the time it is a pleasant experience. Tonight not so much. The food was great as usual which garnered the 2 star review. The customer service is why it remains as a 2. The first young lady was very nice and prepared my food in a quick and courteous way the second girl at the register seemed to be in a hurry even though I was the only person in line and even though I stated twice that I wanted my meal for dine in she tried to put my food in a bag.
After I finished my meal I decided to purchase some chips and queso and this time at the counter was a different young lady in a different colored shirt than the others and this signified to me that she is a manager or supervisor. Her and the original cashier looked very annoyed that I was back at the counter. I was not given the option of choosing my queso and my food was quickly placed in a bag before I said that I wanted it as dine in. While ringing me up the second time the cashier stated multiple times to have a nice night like she was shuffling me out.
To be clear it was 9:00PM so there was still an hour left of operation at this business so I wasn't being one of those annoying customers that was going to keep them there after close. I just wanted to enjoy my meal and desert before heading home and the employees here seemed ready for me to leave.
Also to add it looked like the store had experienced a rush before I came in and every table was dirty, trash was overflowing, etc. While this isnt enough to deter me from eating here again I just hope that next time I receive...
