We live in Stl, so visiting this Panera was a first because we were on the Illinois side for an event. It was 6 of us, 4 adults and 2 kids. Ordered on one tab to keep it simple and faster. One person wanted the pick 2 with chipotle chicken avocado melt and soup, they had the soup but was out of any chipotle chicken he said. So then they asked for the steak French dip sandwich, they were out of that also, selecting a third sandwich was ridiculous especially since at this point it’s not what my friend really wanted. Then there were NO sodas, it was either the unwanted tea, coffee or lemonade. Next, another friend ordered a sandwich that apparently comes on an Asiago bagel, they didn’t tell us they were out of Asiago bagels until after we ordered, paid and got part of our food. When my friend selected another bagel, guess what, they were out, so they only gave her 2 options in which she chose one but wasn’t very happy with it. It wasn’t like we arrived right before closing, we arrived roughly around 6pm and they don’t close till 9:30. So three of the six ordered items that we didn’t really want, while the other 3 (2 being the kids) chose not to eat there at all. Yes, we could’ve left, but because it was already late, we were already there and pressed for time, we decided to stay, plus with me wanting the new potato soup. And when I order soup, I ask for bread instead of apples or chips , but they were out of bread and we were given chips. I felt like they should’ve compensated us in some way because I already felt cheated with the soup portion being in a to go container vs a real bowl even though we dined in and everything was on plates. So it seems crazy to be out of so many items so early before closing. Either someone didn’t do their job right or didn’t do it at all. I don’t think I’ll be visiting this location again. We spent almost $60 that included a tip for...
Read moreThey really need to get it together! We started our visit with the sign at the register asking for patience due to being short staffed. Ok, perfectly understandable. Next stop was the women’s restroom. It wasn’t clean and there were no paper towels to dry your hands. I informed the 4 people standing at the registers talking and they said “oh yes! We are aware of that but we actually don’t have any because there is a world shortage “. Um, ok?! Next was the food. I ordered and paid for 2 full sandwiches and a 1/2 salad. We received A half sandwich (including all the ingredients we asked not to have) a full sandwich and a half salad. I noticed the mistake and pointed it out that I ordered and paid for a full sandwich. The girl working apologized and said she would make the other half right away. I returned 3 times to the counter to see if it was ready. On the 4th visit to the counter, i said I would either like my money back or I would like to have the other half of my sandwich. The girl then reached ver and handed me a wrapped sandwich! Thank you, but where did she have it and how long had she had it there. Not to mention the booth we sat in had disgusting dirty walls as if they had never been wiped down. Pathetic. If you are not ready to be open, maybe you shouldn’t be open and provide some additional training. And get some paper towels for...
Read moreI’m giving you a generous 1 out of 5 stars. Frankly, your establishment has consistently disappointed me (even after numerous complaints to corporate). The cleanliness leaves much to be desired, and the accuracy of my orders is comically poor.
But the pinnacle of irony is how you claim to be environmentally friendly while frequently running out of regular cups and replacing them with styrofoam. It’s hard to take your eco-friendly claims seriously when you opt for a material that’s terrible for the environment.
Your drive-thru wait times are consistently long, and your overworked employees are a testament to your operational inefficiency and incompetent corporate leadership. Please, Panera, take a good, hard look at your practices, because right now, it’s far from a place I’d recommend.
And here’s a tip for those ordering online: do NOT use the rapid order drive-thru pickup. There is nothing “RAPID” about that pickup experience. You’ll be stuck in line for 20+ minutes while your food and drink sits by the drive-thru window and gets cold.
To top it off, your prices have skyrocketed. $15 for a salad and $10 for Mac n Cheese are not justifiable for the small portions and quality. It’s disheartening to see these price increases while it seems that your employees aren’t paid well, and they all appear unhappy to be there. No wonder your employee...
