On Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at 6:45pm, I attended a Hilton Casino reunion which is held at the EHT location every year. I walked in with my friend laughing, smiling and in such a great mood looking forward to seeing my casino familu. Four young ladies were standing inside the high podium with the most angry and annoyed faces cursing, as if they were upset more people were arriving for the reunion. I looked up, especially at a blonde young lady and asked if everything was ok. She quickly changed her face to a smile, as did the others. They realized that my friend and I saw and heard them. The disappointment on their faces that they may have to actually work was obvious. At the end of the night, close to midnight, six of us were walking out to go home. The same blonde from earlier in the evening was waiting for us to walk out, we all as a group wished her a good night. Unbelievably, this girl was so angry that she deliberately ignored us all(no loud music in background), and rushed out the door so mad walking at high pace, as to get away from us. What in the world is wrong with their staff? One would work there knowing there are events and gatherings. Ours is once a year and next year will the 10th year. If one is not happy and don't want to work, then quit. We are paying customers. The reunion is special for us and we look forward to seeing our casino family. Every year we face the fact that our reunions are getting thinner and more elderly, as we lose a family member to illness, death, or as we prefer simply moved away to retire. We live stream the ones who can not attend so that we can all stay connected. Please, don't be so nasty and angry at us for making you do your job. One day, I hope that those four young girls will have the "privilege" of loving their jobs and their staff as much as we Golden Nugget, Ballys Grand, Grand, and Hilton Casino family hold on to, so tightly. So...
Read moreI gave this place 3 stars. For me that means it is average . Nothing overly great nor nothing really bad about it and to be honest most chain restaurants unless they screw something up and get this rating. Our server was exceptional, even helping me look for my wife's lost the glasses . Note that we got there right after they opened so they were not busy at all.
The prices, high IMO, pretty much what you would expect from a 2023 chain restaurant of that level with one exception. The Ultimate Crab Feast that my wife got. She said it was very good price and the quality was above average.
The thing I had the most problem with is The atmosphere/ambiance of the place which is great for a bunch of friends, colleagues, or adult family members who don't mind a very loud and bar feel type of restaurant experience, but I wouldn't bring any children under the age of tween years. It's not anything inappropriate, I just don't think they would have a good time and it would make your dining experience a little more difficult to enjoy. I say this because, one, the tables are on the small side and kids need room, and two, they fired all of our food at once which means that our soup/salad/appetizers and Main Course came out at almost the exact same time, basically one right after the other. When you have young kids you have to help them with their meals and we were cracking crabs for our kids while my appetizers got cold. It really bothered me and when I asked the server about it she said that it was their policy to fire everything as soon as it comes in and to bring it out as soon as it's done. I would rather be asked for that then that be the standard. That one sticking point will probably be the reason that if I go back to Chickie's and Pete's it would be without the kids and what I got to eat with change drastically, most likely getting just on the main course or just a collection...
Read moreWent out on a date with my boyfriend last night. We came here and had a great time. Hostess was super polite and hooked us up with a great half-booth by the TVs. Was great watching the Phils play and looking at all the rad beer cans on the wall but between our food and our server, Jess F, who the MVP is between them is the real toss-up. We got crab fries to share as an app and they were excellent - golden, seasoned well, and tasted fresh. My man ordered the lobster roll (I tried it and damn it was good) and I got the wings - which were delicious as all hell but this is where our server being awesome comes in. It took my wings a bit longer to come to the table and once Jess realized I wasn’t given any food (it was getting pretty busy by then and someone else came to deliver my bf his food - not Jess’s fault at all) she was super apologetic and even though I assured her I wasn’t upset (I wasn’t - this was me and my man’s first date night in forever due to financial burdens/hectic work schedules and I was having a great time munching on my favorite fries and watching baseball with my dude) she still decided to go ABOVE AND BEYOND by DOUBLING my order of boneless wings (and RANCH!!!) at no extra charge due to the wait!!! Both my bf and I were so stunned by her kindness, I was near tears and he was just bashfully speechless. We could tell she felt so horrible for a mistake that was really no one’s fault and that it really shows how much her job and customers mean to her. We just want her to know that we had a great time and she helped make our spontaneous night even better!!! We even laughed about it right after. My man didn’t want to rush the night and boy did he get his wish! If anything, C&P’s mistake and Jess’s redemption only made the night much more memorable. We will absolutely come back if C&P’s will have us. Thank you for making our date...
