Alfredo's Mexican Food — Restaurant in El Monte

We ordered a burrito with sausage & potatoes and the potatoes were half cooked. They had also just stuck all the potatoes at one end of the burrito, that we paid seven dollars for. The potatoes were hard to eat. So we called since we took our order to go & we had ordered through the drive-thru, we called this place, after we got to our destination, to tell about it and a lady answered the phone identified herself as the manager, however is she refused to give us her name. She stated to us that she was under no obligation to provide us her name. She gave us a really hard time, and now we will not return because of the rudeness and because of the nasty food. The lady, that was calling herself to manager and who was arguing with us, over the food, had said her Chef definitely cooked all of the potatoes. Yeah right if he did then we wouldn't have called and complained. She finally agreed to replacing the food. But we don't want it because she might spit in it or one of her workers might spit in it and it was nasty anyway. We really think that she, the manager, might spit in it, especially since she was so rude and we were so nice to her on the phone. After all, she was spitting her rude...

I recently visited Alfredo after seeing a TikTok review by Hungry4Munches, where he claimed their carne asada fries were "bomb." After watching the video, I was excited to try them for myself, so I headed there at 10 PM, thinking I'd enjoy a late-night snack. Unfortunately, I was let down.

The carne asada fries were awful. The asada had no flavor whatsoever, and the fries were soggy and lukewarm--definitely not fresh. To top it off, the green sauce was just watery and bland, which only made the combo worst

I also noticed a sign saying the place was under new management, and now I understand why the food was so disappointing. Trash... What a waste of time. I won't be coming back and definitely do not recommend this place if you're craving good carne asada fries. Worst experience! Top it off my wife is pregnant with munchies and didn't want to even touch it! Sorry I would give 0...

What happened? For the past decade, I've been coming here with 0 issues. I almost always get super fries. Either with asada, adobado, or pollo asado. So I know what the standard is for the super fries.

Literally going downhill it seems based on other reviews. Prices spiking up... ok... Get raw Pollo Asado.... not ok. To be clear, the chicken was lightly cooked on the outside with 0 char. I had to microwave it for 2 minutes for the texture to feel cooked like how chicken is supposed to be. Waiting to see if I get salmonella issues at this point. I ought to call the health department for this poor excuse of a restaurant.

Update: As I'm eating it, the fries are also raw. It's like it was dipped in the oil for 30 seconds.

Time for me to find a new late night munchie...
