Me and my spouse love going to the breakfast buffet on Sunday mornings and in all honesty it is amazing. The food it fresh and tasty and the service is exceptional. Today a Tuesday morning we went to celebrate my loves birthday with what we thought was gonna be an amazing breakfast buffet. We arrived and the waiter took our order for our drinks and offered us to the buffet. As we walked over the food looked dry and unappealing. As we came back with our plates we still didn't have our drinks and I had to physically get up and ask for our drinks. The food was cold and terrible. The taste was awful like day old food. Also the waiter came once the whole time we were there to check on us. It was so disappointing especially being that it was my spouses birthday. We then asked about the birthday celebrations as advertised on the window and the waiter explained that it goes on all day in Tuesdays and the birthday girl/man got to eat for free and they would sing the Mañanitas and bring them some cake. I told her we were there to celebrate her birthday and she replied its was for a group of people of 3 or more. And walked away. I was so upset and dissatisfied with this place. From the food to the service to the so called birthday celebration. At this point i dont know if we will be going back after this terrible...
Read moreBeen going to this place, since I was working in Chihuahua MX! I live by Speaking Rock, people ask me if I gamble! I used to evaluate buffet places for NSF! The only time I gamble is when I eat out! WHAT IS NOT TO LIKE! From the breakfast buffet to the weekday buffet Mon thru Fri, the morning has both menudo and pozole! Plus various items too good to mention, but the barbacoa tacos and pastor are the bomb, pancakes eggs get there if weekday after 12pm eat your menudo or pozole, then they start changing over to lunch which includes the Taco Bar! My first order is the tripitas bien doradas ( crispy 😋 like bacon), the carne asada are the next target they have a salsa bar the Chipotle is really good pico you can't go wrong this are straight up Mexican Tacos like Saltillo MX! On Saturday and Sunday it's a Free for all every section has a buffet plus the main center which includes tamales 🫔 red green sweet! The sweet are for dessert 🍨 plus a dessert bar! Music on Fridays! This place is a must, no cross contamination here like other places! Pay attention people this happens when they change out a tray put the one they took off next door with the smelly water dripping on top of the food, then they put the new one with the remaining pieces on top! You ate the same thing but someone got the drops of contaminated...
Read moreIf you’re looking for authentic Mexican food, Chih’ua Restaurant & Bar is the spot to visit! We stopped in for their breakfast and lunch buffet, which is only $20, and it’s worth every penny. The buffet had a great variety — everything was hot, fresh, and full of flavor. You can really taste that everything is made from scratch, just like homemade Mexican cooking.
They also have a regular menu if you prefer ordering a plate, but honestly, the buffet alone gives you a chance to try a bit of everything — from chilaquiles, eggs, and tamales to menudo and fresh tortillas. And here’s what I really appreciated: if there’s something on the buffet that normally comes with a topping like crema or cheese, they’ll gladly prepare it for you fresh in the back at no extra charge. That’s the kind of service that makes a big difference.
Our waiter Oscar was excellent — super friendly, attentive, and patient in answering all my questions. You can tell he really cares about making sure everyone enjoys their experience.
Overall, this place feels warm, welcoming, and true to its roots. The food tastes authentic, the staff makes you feel like family, and the price is more than fair for the quality you get. I’ll definitely be coming back — it’s easily one of the best Mexican breakfast buffets in El...
