Gorditas Tony's — Restaurant in El Paso

Don’t know what’s all the rave about these way below average gorditas. They are nothing more than bland flavorless meat stuffed into a thick over heated flour tortillas. If they were rolled instead of flat you can actually call it a burrito. Besides getting my order wrong, which I discovered when I got home, I wasn’t about to go back and wait another 25 minutes in line to correct it. It doesn’t matter if you go through the drive thru or walk inside to place your order, you will wait just as long. The problem is the girl at the register is taking orders for both those inside, as well as the drive thru window. So when she’s taking orders from the cars, those in line inside wait, and when she takes the orders from those inside, the cars wait. This very slow and inefficient system is not worth the wait for these below...

Today for the third time in about 4 months I saw the person preparing the gorditas, do it without gloves or washings their hands. I had brought it up to the owners attention but I guess they dont take it seriously. So I just want to set the person who called in an order today,2/6/2019 at approximately 8:18am, the lady who took your order also prepared it. She did not wash her hands and she opened and put her hands inside everyone of your gorditas. And just in case the owner reads this and wants to confirm, there were 3 people behind that counter, the cashier, another lady wearing blue gloves, and the other one doing food without gloves. Again, this the 3rd time I have witnessed someone in this establishment doing this. The first 2 times I made them wash their hands, put on gloves and prepare...

The only reason I am giving two stars is because the gorditas were good but their customer service is horrible. Ladies treat you like it’s a bother that you stopped by. I approached the ladies and said good morning and they just completely ignored me and she proceeded to take my order. I asked for a coffee and it was a straight “I don’t have coffee”. I work in the restaurant business and if I deny something that I have on the menu I first apologize and maybe offer something else. They were just rude. I won’t be back just for the fact that they have horrible customer service. This happens every time I go in. This isn’t the first time, but it will for sure be the last.
