Say NO to "Mike's Way" The sandwiches are decent, first time hearing the term "Mike's Way" or "we're gonna stack your sandwich with lettuce we scooped off the dirty counter, then douse it in vinegar and olive oil to cover the eColi flavor." First and last time going to this place, the ok tasting sandwiches, the hassle and poor customer service experience are not worth a trip back. Right off the bat, you could stand in front of the workers and they will NOT acknowledge you unless you ask them a question. Had to ask where to stand to begin the order process, the one making the sandwiches just blurted out "meat cage." There was another worker there slicing meat, avoiding eye contact, for dear life, to avoid attending you between meats. They will only ask you what you want once, if you dont tell them your complete order in the first 2secs, they will assume you are done and will try to get you to walk away from them. As you order they will do Everything you would expect from a child pretending to work for the first time. "What do you want?" "What else?" "Is that it?" According to the worker, you are supposed to request your toppings in the next section, where the next worker will be building sandwiches nonstop and doing their best to ignore you completely. Not sure if it was because of the mouth covering or their inability to anunciate and explain, but it is practically impossible to understand what they are saying, they are under the impression that mumbling something louder will make it easier to understand. Eventually they will just dismiss you without asking you for the toppings that you'd like. The next person i just wrapping sandwiches, which to me having worked in retail for so many years could see is a wasted position since there is an additional person just waiting on customers to charge them. Seems like that wrapper and builder could be doing bith jobs simultaneously and the cashier could put the finish product in the bags, instead of waiting on the wrapper to do it. I get that it might be their first jobs, but if I'm not mistaken, customer service is the first thing everyone is taught in evsry job, seems like this group just did not want to be there. My advise would be for them to find another job that would not involve them dealing with customers directly, maybe a job in the sanitation department could be more fitting to their attitud and work ethic. Sadly, some of them already look like they will be complaining about being passed again for that promotion for assistant to the assistant manager they were promised for 25 years. Firehouse on the top level has Way better customer service, less variety, but they dont scoop up the vegetables off the counter and toss them back into the...
Read moreThe team at Jersey Mike's impressed me alot on August 23. I was in there around noon they were the most people focused group I had seen. They were attentive and walked you through the menu, asking me if it was my first time. They told me what made it a Jersey Mike's sub and told me some of their favorites. All that being what you would want an expect from a restraunt its what they did next that made them heroes. A homeless man came in I was in line and he asked me if I could buy him food. Usually im leary with men who ask for money alot of the time its for an addiction, however a hungry person needs help of course i bought him a meal. The team noticed what was going on and were very quick to offer to get them man food i said no I got it. When I went to pay they discounted the food due to their kindness. They treated that man with complete respect he dis not cause any trouble but his appearance was a little startling they stayed professional the entire time he went and thanked alk the staff and so did we Im blown away. If this is the atmosphere of Jersey Mike's someone is instilling in the team a sense of ownership and pride that you dont see these days they are amazing. Keep up the good work guys everyone sees the fireman saving people in an amazing fashion but those that change the world do it one person at a time in the not so flamboyant way you guys are the real heroes. My hats off...
Read moreMy first and last time here. Bad customer service and food was not fresh. I can understand at the end of the day toppings are not fresh anymore but at noon time serviving hungry customers withered toppings on sandwich is beyond cheap. I have never been here before so employees were not very patient with me and seemed annoyed with me unfamiliar with menu and my preferences for my sandwich. I paid $25 bucks you think they be courteous enough to ask how i wanted it cut. I just wanted it cut once so I can have two big pieces instead it was cut into 4 small pieces making it difficult to eat. Never, never, never again. I get better service and food at a a subway or McDonald's . There was only one person in front of me but they seemed overwhelmed. Also they couldn't follow my instructions or do it the way i wanted my sandwich. Heard good things but I guess i came at a bad a very bad time because 3 customers in restaurant was too much for the staff of 4 to handle. I'm disappointed and it was a waste of money I couldn't get...
