I love Leo's and like many El Pasoans I have been coming here a long time, since I was in middle school in 1996, I've had baby showers here, birthdays, etc. So writing this review is difficult but hopefully they actually read this and fix this problem. We were super excited they finally opened dine in for Mother's Day. Because we are a large family we called to make sure our party could be accommodated. They opened at 11am and we called at 9am to double check. The lady we spoke to was very nice and polite saying they would be able to seat us together with no problems as long as we were there early because its first come first serve. We arrived at 10am and were the 4th family in line, we had all our part members there so we could be seated right away. When our turn came the hostess started looking around to see where she could seat us and I guess wanted advice and called another lady. This is where our problems began. This blond lady in a white button up Leo's shirt comes up and says they cannot seat us. She continues saying we'd having to wait 1 hour to be seated because its first come first serve, we tell her we have been there since 10 am and were 4th in line. She starts giving us attitude and repeating the same thing. We tell her again even explaining to her we called at 9am to make sure we could be accommodated. She ignored me completely then says our entire party has to be there and we tell her we are. I feel like she was looking for any excuse to not seat us. We felt very uncomfortable and didn't want problems or to hold up people behind us. We even let the couple behind us get seated first. After lots of back and forth with this very rude and unprofessional woman we asked if she could seat us separate at least and even to this she didn't want to. I don't understand why she wouldn't want to seat us. She didn't have or give us any valid reason for not seating us or for why we would have to wait an extra hour. Please I hope you actually read your reviews and fix this problem because we didn't do anything wrong and this woman singled us...

My mom loves it here.! Tacos are good she says... I'm going to update this post but my mom isn't really up for going out to eat right now. But today I stopped in to pick up tacos for her...I explained to Isaac I didn't want to get her a full plate of tacos because she wouldn't finish them and tacos aren't the best reheated so I asked about the child's plate...that worked out perfect..he was nice and the girl who placed the order at the bar wasn't friendly just THERE rolling her eyes .. I asked if she could add some tostadas like they do when you dine in... no ..she didn't she charged me for them.. I let her know I didn't want them after all....I would of thought if I'm asking for them what would be the problem...I tried talking to her while waiting for the food... Letting her know my mom really likes the tacos (small talk) but she wasn't having it. Anyways .. I get my mom's food tip her and leave. I was extremely bothered a child's plate is $10.00 no drink included and you can't spare some chips? I called after several phone calls they finally answered..I spoke to the "manager." AND just with her verbage no why in hell is she a manager... Leo's has been around for way to long to have someone like that representing that place....I asked her for a manager and she said... Your going to have to wait and their not here and their not going to drop what there doing to talk to you...I can give them a message. What's your name and number .. after that I told her my thoughts and hung up (More in that conversation I won't mention here. Sadly.. I will never go back to that place there are to many other options anyways with decent people working and great Mexican food. Leo's might be desperate for workers if they have this crew... Isaac was nice and that's why I asked for his name. While their waiting for 2 tacos and beans I noticed a few things which is irrelevant to mention here. I won't go back either way... Get a better team and maybe that's why they have those attitudes because no real...

When we walked in, the place was pretty full. Took them about 5 minutes but we got a table. We go our to eat just about every single night. We eat at home maybe once a month. We are just really busy! We have lived here for two years and have been to this place three times. All three times it was the same. We waited quite a while for the waitress to come to the table. In the meantime they brought us chips and salsa. I asked if we could get some refried beans and the woman said “ask your waitress”!! I would if she would come to the table! She finally came and We ordered. I ordered fajitas. It took a good half hour or 45 min to get the food which I wasn’t horribly upset with since they were so busy. I realized she hadn't given me any tortillas with the fajitas and we had no silverware! It took about 10 minutes to get her back over to our table to ask for the obvious. We sat and sat for another 10 minutes while all of our food got cold, not being able to eat with no silverware! She finally came back after helping several other tables! She gave me corn tortillas and said “here are some corn tortillas, we are out of flower tortillas, ill bring you some in a little bit” We needed drink refills which we didnt get. I tried the fajitas and they were now hard and really dry! She came back with flower tortillas and i just told her that it was by far too late and I couldnt even eat the food. She went and spoke with the manager and he agreed to take them off our bill. We got the check and we were still charged $3.75 for the extra grated cheese(they don’t automatically give you ANY). They charged $3.75 for the refried beans too. So basically they charged me for the sides for the food I couldn't even eat! We have tried this place three times. We will...

Food is really consistently good here. Is no wonder why it's always busy. Lacking smiles up front when asked how many in our party and was seated. Hostess lady did not want to be there, and it showed. Sat us in a booth by the kitchen and was a bit worried. Almost asked to be sat somehwere else. It turned out to be ok. Nice little decorations and pictures of our local areas from the past and present. Very colorful and vibrant atmosphere. We were promptly greeted by a lovely Spanish speaking waitress. Dressed in what reminded me partly as a Folklorico type waitress dress ( that's what I'm going to call it). Very pretty. Salsa is spicy, really good. Chips are thin and crispy and seemed unsalted (or salted very lightly)... they were good too. Got the Baked Chicken Enchiladas, number 6. I got RED and my buddy got GREEN. Was really good, and BAKED indeed. Plate was very HOT and was warned by the waitress when serving. Really, really good, large portion. Waitress was attentive to our basic needs and others were pre bussing as they passed our table to the kitchen. When they saw trash from our straws and the lemon wedges that were not used at the end of the table, it was taken by a passer byer. I noticed and thought that was cool, thinking this is how it should be done. I could barely finish my plate and still got a sopapilla with honey at the end. It was a nice touch to finish a great dining experience. I'm SO FULL, 😆 I'll be back and will spread the word. Muchas gracias.

I’m not gonna lie this place started off with low expectations, I went with my wife my two kids and my mom and dad and they took forever to accommodate us. To me that seems odd since this seems like a family type of atmosphere, as such you should expect family sized groups, but the restaurant seems rather small/cramped for the amount of customers it is getting, it’s not like there’s lots of free seats but it was mostly packed with gente from all ages and sizes , after what felt like an hour and the host seemed to have completely forgot about us we finally got a seat. So we finally sat down and ordered The pros: the tacos were bomb I ordered the steak tacos with rice and beans, not only was it cheap but it was delicious the chips and salsa is free when you first arrive the price is a steal for what you get on the menu The cons: they charge you for refills on anything outside of soft drinks, that means lemonades and aguas frescas The menu is a lot of the usual traditional dishes and nothing out of the ordinary(but what they do have is delicious) The fajitas were meh, for some reason they didn’t have peppers in the fajitas just meat and onions which I thought was odd Conclusion: the food was great, the wait wasn’t, the price was very fair, this place may need to expand or remodel for the amount of customers it’s getting !

My Dad and I were going through El Paso to Az to meet family. I really pushed to get to this amazing restaurant before it closed at 8 pm. We made it from San Angelo, Texas with moments to spare. I used to work as a waitress a very long time ago and remember quite well when customers walked in the door with less than 15 minutes until close time. However when we walked through the doors last night they made us most welcome. We were served by an amazing sever Peter who made the dining experience so enjoyable and relaxing. It lifted my spirits and gave me the energy and uplifted boost to drive the rest of the way to Az which we reached our destination about an hour ago. The food was made so promptly and tasted delicious. I have been to a lot of Mexican food restaurants in Texas, but imo Leo’s has the best Mexican food. I remember my first trip to Az with my parents to see a grandparent. It is fitting that the last of the Az trips to attend one of my grandparent’s funeral that we ate at Leo’s. This is and was a great way to close a chapter in my life. The food is amazing, the service top notch. If you love Mexican food and are in the El Paso area the drive is worth it. It’s really close to I-10 and close to Sam’s which is a great place to gas up and an extra bonus right across the street from Krispy Kreme Donuts.
