Country Fried Steak is a generation portion of USDA Choice steak breaded and deep fried, topped with Sawmill gravy, and served with your choice of three country sides (turnip greens, whole kernel corn, and mashed potatoes with gravy pictured) and made-from-scratch buttermilk biscuits or corn muffins. This is one of our favorite entrees to order. The crunchy, blistered exterior of the country fried steak crunches as I cut it with a knife, but the cubed steak on the inside is juicy as can be. The Sawmill gravy is amazing! I love it with the biscuits and also on the mashed potatoes with its velvety creamy texture and pepper punch. Turnip greens are a side we had not tried before and added it to our “love it” list of Cracker Barrel items. The taste is like collard greens but a little bit milder. I love that they are utilizing the tops of this root vegetable.

Southern Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad is smoky southern grilled chicken breast over chopped romaine lettuce tossed in buttermilk Caesar dressing, topped with shaved parmesan, grape tomatoes, house-baked sourdough croutons, and two deviled eggs. To be perfectly honest, the first thing that caught my eye when I read the description was “deviled eggs”. If you have been following me, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE deviled eggs. My hubby’s grandma made them for the holidays and I always made a pig of myself or should I say “chicken”. The second thing that caught my eye was “buttermilk Caesar dressing”. The intrigue turned into delight once I took my first and second bite. The first was the deviled egg, of course. I love how creamy the yolk filling was, not too vinegary, not too much mayonnaise, just right. The second bite consisted of the romaine, dressing, and chicken. I love traditional Caesar, but this might be my new favorite. The buttermilk lends a creaminess, richness, and acidity that you would have in a traditional Caesar from the yolk, olive oil, and lemon. The chicken was juicy and love the smoky seasoning. All the flavors worked well together, and this item has been officially added to the “love it” list.

Double Chocolate Fudge Coca-Cola Cake is Cracker Barrel’s famous cake made daily, by hand, and served warm with rich, creamy vanilla ice cream. I love Cracker Barrel’s pies but sometimes I just want cake. This is a cake like grandma would make. It is moist, chocolatey, and reminds me of home.

Apple Streusel Pie (seasonal) happened to be on the menu for the 2018 winter holiday season. Cracker Barrel might have to put it on the regular menu because we added it to the “love it” list. Their All-American Apple Pie is our favorite as well, but this combines that beautiful apple flavor with this amazing...

11/18/23 Called today to confirm heat and eat Thanksgiving dinner. Service continues to be epic and you can tell this franchise definitely wants to keep your business. Perla helped me with all my questions and is the ultimate professional, showing how much you as the consumer means they want you to have a good experience. For those of you picking up to-go orders, please keep in mind there may be toddlers in the parking lot. PLEASE watch out for these cuties cuz they may not be aware of the dangers in an extremely busy parking lot. I understand that the deliveries for the to-go orders is going to be restricted to the delivery side (Remcon street side) and not the Interstate 10 side where I witnessed a toddler almost get hit by a large pickup truck last year. An ounce of prevention could save a baby's life.

We went when the store and restaurant were packed. All tables were filled with no tables left empty. We tested positive for COVID-19 following this visit. The coronavirus is still very active here in El Paso and I think allowing the restaurant to utilize all tables is a huge mistake. BEWARE!! 12/8/22 with the coronavirus nearly behind us now, this restaurant is still one of the best restaurants on the westside of El Paso. Noel was our server and you can tell she loves people, food and her job. We enjoyed her service very much. Food was perfect, service was great and we will be back. My girlfriend and I came for breakfast at about 10 AM Thanksgiving morning. Meals to go were ready at 11 AM. It was shockingly dangerous trying to leave the parking lot. MANAGEMENT: take note this location was extremely lucky no one was hurt. You need to have the traffic stay away from the front of the store and use the side used for deliveries for the pickup of the Turkey dinners to go. Put up caution tape and keep the traffic on the Remcon Street side. Wheel out the dinners and give them out away from the normal restaurant traffic. Please don't wait until...

We went in to celebrate my parents anniversary and my birthday today. I had placed us on the waitlist almost 30mins earlier to have our table ready. At entrance, I checked in with one of the hostess and she said to go ahead and step to other hosts for our table. We go over and they were about to sit us down, but the table wasn't clean and she told us to go back to the store. The table is ready and then she tell us, we cant sit because our whole party wasn't ready. We asked if we could still sit because we were only missing my parents who were close by and she said no. My sister called for the manager and We didnt catch her name, but she was extremely rude. She raised her tone on my sister and said "IT'S POLICY EVERYONE HAS TO BE HERE". when absolutely NO ONE else had stated such thing. That manager should train whoever was at the front that checked us in to ask if our whole party was here. I then see that manager go to the girl at the front and I could tell they were talking about us. Super unprofessional. My parents arrived a few mins later and they had told us we would be up next once they got there, and again it was a whole extra wait time. Thank goodness our waiter was super friendly and sweet! We even offered him some cake that we took to celebrate our family time. The manager then later on had a grin and smirk on her face when she saw us shopping at the store after we ate. She had a tattoo on one of her arms of either a moon or a star in a line....not too sure what it was but she is horrible. Not to mention, that I get home and my blouse has the security tag on!!!!! Now I gotta go back and get that...

The server was extremely polite,I haven't been there in a very long time, back then the restaurant had double the size, was really pretty and had a big salad bar.I was surprised of the drastic change now it looks just like another cafeteria with a gift shop in it.About food:my salad didn't match the description on the menu.....I had grilled chickens salad.menu says boil egg on it ....I didn't get one,it's ok I'm not going to die about that😂we order corn bread,I just posted a pic of them....they were over backed hard and dark.server told us that they were eatable🤷🏻‍♀️I think that was terrible from them since it's a restaurant and not a bar, what I mean it's that we went to eat food we expected to get good quality from a restaurant not from a bar,in a bar you go for drinks and don't expect to get everything 5 star since their specialty it's drinks not food, right?!!? anyway my companion ordered meat loaf and all I see was a pile of ground beef and that it's why they just get 3 stars.Places was not that crowded.Restaurant was clean employees were working hard all the time trying to keep the place clean.Desert was delicious.Hope next time I would get a better experience 👍👍👍👍This review is asking me how much did I pay,but I didn't pay so I guess it was around 50 for dinner😶thanks for reading.
