My sister showed me an instagram of this place and we were so excited to try it. We went this past Saturday, 12/21 at about 3:30pm. The excitement was quickly diminished when we went because of the way we were treated. When we walked up to the counter, the barista was making drinks so she took a few seconds to get to us. Fine, no problem. But then she walked up to the register and didnât even acknowledge us, as in didnât even look at us. We all kind of awkwardly stood there so I finally said hello to which she just responded that we could order when we were ready. No greeting, no nothing. When I asked questions about the menu, she was incredibly vague and I had to ask follow-up questions just to get a straight forward answer. She was very rude to us and seemed like she hated her job. I wish I could say we enjoyed our drinks considering we paid over $18 for two larges (which are sized more like Starbucks grandes, if that), but it was not great. While my pistachio latte was fine, my sisterâs matcha tasted really weird. She asked for sweetener and it was not sweet at all. Both were made by the same barista that treated us poorly. Very disappointed because we really wanted to love this place...
Read moreCame here for the first time and was immediately impressed. Itâs hard to find a coffee shop nowadays that isnât trying to be Starbucks.
However The House Coffee Shop, truly has it own unique spin on coffee, teas etc. I had the Yemeni Latte and it was so mellow and full of intricate flavor and the perfect blend of spices. The beans are roasted to perfection and the espresso is smooth.
The atmosphere is calm and the music is low really adds to the overall mood. The seating is minimal but with the right people it can feel very intimate and purposeful.
I wish there was more of a view, but if you like people watching, sit by the window and watch people come and go.
All in all itâs truly a great new spot, and I will certainly make this...
Read moreI've never written a review before, but felt compelled to after my experience here. The atmosphere was nice when I first walked in, which made me hopeful, but unfortunately, thatâs where the positive experience ended. When I approached the counter, the cashier was incredibly rudeâshe didnât even acknowledge me while I was speaking to her. I ordered a hot chocolate with milk, but was given one made with water instead. When I politely asked if she could remake it with milk, she refused and offered to refund my money instead. Still, her attitude remained dismissive and rude. To make matters worse, when she handed me the refund, she literally tossed the money at me. Needless to say, I won't...
