Looking for a quick spot to grab a beer before checking into my hotel, I headed here. The layout is quite simple, with two long rows of high-top metal seating—not the most comfortable for hanging out. The place was slow, with only four other patrons, and I found myself having to approach the bartender directly to place my order. I later overheard her talking about Firestone beer offers, which might have influenced my choice if I’d known earlier.
The acoustics are echoey and loud, but I imagine a younger crowd might not mind. They do offer a wide selection of beers and ciders, and you can bring your own food, which is a plus. The entire establishment was warmer than it should have been as well, AC must not have been on. Some strong tint or curtains would be very helpful for countering the Texas sun, and many more people could comfortably sit inside during the day.
It's not an issue for later into the evening when the sun sets, but for earlier during the day it would...
