W XYZ bar — Restaurant in El Segundo

Awesome atmosphere. I was staying next door at the Fairfield INN. Was looking for a cool Lounge Bar. So I walked over. Couldn't believe how awesome the lobby bar at ALofts was. Outdoor balcony overlooking the pool. And this being LA, the customers looked fabulous, of course. Bartenders are amazing. Super sweet. They call you by your name. I will definitely stay here next time. Only thing I was sad about was that the Crystal Bar doesn't light up because they lost the remote control 🤣🤣🤣🤭🤭 I'm certain it'll be fixed soon. Dee is an amazing bartender. She makes you feel welcome, important, like you are her only customer. Yet she still manages the whole bar and lobby. She's gracefull, caring and gracious. I look forward to seeing her on my next visit. The food quality is not her downfall, it's the facility. I had an abysmal $20 chicken sandwich. They used the cheapest hamburger bun available. Which can still be made to be acceptable, elevated even. However they did not even bother to toast and heat it, severely downgrading the already diminished quality of offering. We dropped in for a cocktail after work so not a hotel guest. But found the bar staff ( Daria in particular) very friendly and charming. She engaged with everyone new guests or old acquaintances. Then we played pool for free in the cozy lounge. Has outdoor seating also with heaters. One downside was the food. It came so fast and very hot we thought it had been heated in a microwave. But can’t say for sure. Prob would not order any food again, but would definitely return for drinks. Nice clean place....
