Stop n dip — Restaurant in Elgin

We stopped in on a Sunday afternoon excited to try all the different items, and come in to say hello but the staff was not welcoming. We wanted to order pistachio crepes or cheesecake, and they said they were out, so we tried the pistachio gelato, and it was the same consistency as a cinder block- for a small scoop of 5$. Stop and dip is a hidden gem in elgin!!! If you have not been, please stop and try them out. We got the dip and share and it was the perfect compliment to our lunch we had earlier! I stopped by this place because it was connected to the shawarma stop and I wanted some dessert after my meal. The gentleman that served us was nice and cheerful. The biscoff gelato was super tasty and I wanted a second cup of it but needed to contain myself. I love the ambience of the place, it is very laid back and fancy looking. My wife had the ice caramel Macchiato and she said it was really good she liked that it was on the mellow side and hit the spot....
