Bluestone Lane — Restaurant in Elizabeth

Incredibly disappointed in my flat white. Bluestone lane is the one place that should know how to do a decent flatwhite given its aussie origins. I provided an 8oz cup and asked for a fw but the staff almost charged me for a 16oz fw (which is ridiculous in itself because that is not a fw then!) They did not say anything until I asked about the price hike. Only then did they say that I had to use the automated machine to order and pay for a 8oz fw. On top of that, the fw was so hot it burnt my tongue. Also, this is how it looked...this is not the quality of coffee that I expect of bluestone lane....

The staff was not friendly. I accidentally ordered an Americano — I’ve been traveling through Europe for the last 2 months and got a little mixed up with the coffee situation. I actually just wanted a regular coffee, and when I tried the Americano, I found it way too strong.

I explained this to the lady, but she responded very rudely. She did end up giving me a regular coffee, but her attitude was disappointing. Honestly, even if she hadn’t exchanged the coffee, a kind response would’ve made the experience much better. A little courtesy goes a long way.

Love! So happy to see Bluestone Lane in Terminal A. It’s not in the main atrium area - I had to find it on Google Maps and go down one of the hallways. I just hope others find it OK. Keep this in mind.

I love their avocado toast in general and lucky for us they have gluten free bread! I wasn’t sure given it was an airport location. I subbed that in and it was delicious. I also added a fried egg on top and removed feta cheese.

Lastly the matcha latte with oat milk was literal perfection for a 2/3pm afternoon drink ahead of a flight to the west coast.

Staff was lovely!!...
