Town Bar + Kitchen — Restaurant in Elizabeth

I rarely leave reviews, but I had such a terrible experience here that I felt I needed to share it. From the moment I sat down, the waiter seemed completely uninterested in serving me and didn’t smile once. It took over 12 minutes just to receive a Manhattan.

After I had eaten more than half of my pasta, I found a black hair in the dish. (I have light brown hair). I let the waiter know, I was really nice about it. He walked away without saying a word. A manager came over, picked through the plate, and pulled the hair out herself. She barely apologized and said she would apply a discount. When I asked to close the check, I saw they had only taken off six dollars.

I asked to speak with the manager again, and the waiter rolled his eyes at me. The manager returned and told me she had taken off 20 percent. She then asked, “Well, how much do you think it should be?” I told her I didn’t think I should have to pay for a dish that had a hair in it. She brought the chef to the register with her, and the two of them stared at me with dirty looks.

They eventually removed the dish from the bill, but the waiter continued to be rude and dismissive. This place is truly awful. You are better off going to Shake Shack or literally anywhere else in the airport. I will never come back. If I could give negative stars, I would. I still paid for my $20 cocktail and tipped $5 which is a lot more than...

Amazing, good quality food considering this is an airport restaurant! Took my mother in law here to have lunch and coffee, our waiter's name was Jesus and he greeted us immediately. We got there around 10:30AM and it was not that busy at all, very shocked by this! He informed us immediately that breakfast being served was going to be stopping soon and the lunch menu would start, which is totally fine because we wanted lunch anyways! Service was quick and the food was great!

Sabine is also the most personable person here and has great customer service to each and every person! She talks to every customer and ensures everything is up to par and goes above and beyond to make sure customers are satisfied!

The only cons I would say are the prices are a little high and that there was no menu to see our their website and barely 1 photo of the menu on Google. I would highly recommend having the menu accessible so that customers planning to eat at the airport can do so accordingly.

There was 6 of us there for late lunch we ordered wings, they were either over cooked and or very dry not to mention very small for the price of 19.00 for 8. We ordered there equivalent of a beef pot pie that took a long time to come to the table ant it looked delicious with the top nice and brown, but the inside was super cold (I don’t think the cook had a thermometer to check inside temperature) to where not only did take it back but did not offer to get us another one. A different menu option had to be picked we picked chicken wings and again they were super small for the price and again over cooked. When back at this airport we would not eat here. We were very very disappointed. I’ surprised that the manager did not come out to visit us as we did show our disapproval...
