Mixed Feelings at Shake Shack - Great Food, Glitchy Service

With some time to spare before our flight, we chose Shake Shack for a light lunch. I kicked things off with a Shackmeister Draft. Our order included a Veggie Shack, Mushroom Burger, Cheese Fries, two vanilla custards, and a cookie cream shake.

Despite the promising start, we faced a hiccup as our order was accidentally dropped during a shift change. We waited about 20 minutes before this was realized, and thankfully, Namrata, an exceptionally kind and attentive staff member, stepped in to rectify the situation. She ensured our order was promptly reprocessed, and we finally received our meal.

The quality and taste of the food were undeniably superb, deserving a full five stars. The Mushroom Burger and Veggie Shack were delightful, though the sandwich sizes were notably small—not filling for a typical lunch but perfect for our pre-flight meal. Unfortunately, instead of custards, we received vanilla shakes. We decided not to complain, given the previous mix-up and our tight schedule.

Overall, I rate our experience three stars. While the food was excellent and the service friendly, the initial oversight in our order left us pressed for time. Despite this, the delicious offerings and Namrata's kindness have convinced me to return, perhaps to finally try that cookie cream shake...

Great quick spot at Terminal A. Thanks for a huge delay at EWR. Decided to stop by here to eat something good. Not always a big fan of Shake Shack but this one definitely blew me away with how good it really was. Ordered the Avocado Bacon Chicken sandwich, a little bit smaller than I originally thought it was going to be but definitely really had a lot of flavoring to it. The side of fries and the drink was a great touch as well. Perfect for a good late lunch early dinner meal before a flight out.

Service was great too. Kind, attentive staff but were very quick to taking the orders which is understandable. Atmosphere of the place is great as well. Despite being in an Airport terminal, the seats and tables were quite clean, considerable a lot of seating in the area as well. That’s basically it for that.

This place is great for like wanting something good and quick just to fill you up when you’re at Terminal A. I would recommend it here as it isn’t like other Shake Shack places outside...

Great location. Does not allow mobile ordering in the app which I totally understand. There was a long line to order (2 kiosks and 1 manned register) but it moved semi efficiently so my wait in line was longer than my wait for food (15 min in line,
