Nestled in the heart of Emerald Isle at the Emerald Plantation Mini Mall, just a few steps from Giovani's Bagels is a culinary treasure known to the locals... but a well kept secret from the rest of the world where one can get what have to absolutely be the very best hamburgers in Coastal Carolina!! You have got to give this place a try!! I ordered the smallest burger they had, and I have to tell you it was loaded with the kind of flavor you only get at a perfect backyard cook the burgers on the grill cookout!! We're talking real good ole fashioned lean 80/20 American ground beef in a hand shaped patty, served on a fresh buttered bun, with a healthy slab of tomato, real burger dill pickle like other restaurants used to use, a healthy dollop of special sauce, an a really fresh bun.... Not greasy... but packed with flavor I long thought was lost in fast food. And speaking of fast... from the time I placed my order to getting my burger... it was just four minutes!! Really! The price was only slightly higher than Mickey D's... the environment was comfortable reminding me somewhat of a 1960's style burger stand... staff was friendly and professional... and like I said... the food was off the charts awesome. For those concerned about my health... Relax... I didn't eat all those fries... I couldn't have... there was so much on the pate... but if I could have... I would have... they were seasoned just right!! As I said... they are located in the Emerald Plantation Mini Mall center court area, 8700 Emerald Drive, Unit 22, Emerald Isle and believe me they are definitely worth stopping by and getting a bite to eat. Dine-in · Takeout... they have definitely raised the benchmark for fast food. While you're there, check out the other great shops at Emerald Plantation, walk the "boardwalk" beneath the palms... and enjoy some of our coastal living. If I could give zero stars I would! There are plenty of other amazing places to eat around here don’t give them your money and don’t waste your time! I went here for my birthday and the place was super dirty and the bathrooms had no soap! I looked past all of that and was still willing to give it a try but then when I got my food one of the servers, a older white lady with white hair, asked me if I was pregnant as she handed me my food. I’m not pregnant so that was very offensive and hurtful what’s worse is I’m not sure why anyone would ask something like that if they are not sure? Just keep your mouth shut and mind your business women! She definitely does not need to work customer service. We had to get a refund because I have an eating disorder and body image issues so I couldn’t even eat after that comment. My day is ruined and I had one of the biggest panic attacks of my life! I can’t put into words the amount of support I needed to stop crying. I have a medical condition called PCOS so I can’t control my weight and I have a hard time enjoying food because of that. On all days I really didn’t want to feel this way on my birthday. Y’all are awful people and should be reported to the BBB! And I just might! Awful awful awful people and place and I hope no body ever eats here! I also hope that lady gets a taste of her own medicine someday! You have no idea what people are going through just be kind. We all come in different shapes and sizes! I don’t choose to look this way and it’s none of your concern! I hope y’all know I canceled our dinner reservations because I’m just so upset. I’m not even eating the rest of the day....

Please allow your employees to be tipped! I just ate at Burger Boy of Emerald Isle. We paid and noticed there was no way to tip. We ate our food which was excellent in every single way. The mix of the soda was perfect, the burger was perfect, and the fries were perfect. My wife and I talked about the tipping issue and decided to get a scoop of ice cream on the way out for Samantha and we would ask the employee to add the ability to tip. We were getting rung up and again there was no way to tip. So I asked the girl “hey where is the tip option”? She said there was none and I said man you guys are getting screwed out of tips. They had a cash bucket there with $3 in it but we had no cash. She said the owner would charge them a 3% fee if they got credit card tips. The owner said they actually would lose money if they made credit card tips. There was a help wanted sign on the door. Burger Boy has excellent great tasting food.
