Had the privilege to stumble upon this place on accident trying to find another restaurant during lunch time. I will say I am glad I found this sanctuary of burgers hidden within my journey. Walking into Shark’s Den Sports Bar & Grill, you immediately feel the vibe of a classic sports bar. The decor is a perfect blend of sports memorabilia, modern bar with nice concrete bar with awesome selection of different varieties of liquor and beers, making it a chill spot to catch a game or enjoy a meal. The staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring that my experience was enjoyable from start to finish.
I decided to go for the All-American burger, which features smoked bacon, American cheese, lettuce, tomato, and onion, all smashed together for that perfect bite. The burger was cooked to perfection; the smoky flavor of the bacon complemented the melty cheese and other toppings beautifully. Each ingredient added its own flair without overpowering the others. It was juicy and satisfying, truly living up to its name ALL AMERICAN WHOOOOO – RIC FLAIR VOICE.
As a side, I opted for the voodoo onion rings. These were not your average onion rings; they had a unique seasoning that with a side of voodoo sauce that gave them an extra kick. Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, they paired perfectly with the burger.
Overall, my visit to Shark’s Den Sports Bar & Grill was fantastic! The combination of great food and lively atmosphere made for an unforgettable dining experience. I highly recommend trying the All-American burger with those voodoo onion rings if you’re in the mood for something delicious! I will be back to try some others on the menu as well. Perfect flavor, perfect service perfect experience

Read moreWhere to begin, lets just say, this place isn't stressed tested at all, their version of "packed and busy" is half the restaurant filled. Poor service all around, 2 waitresses, neither introduced themselves, second one, when taking the order, rudely asked "what do you want to eat?", 55min ticket time, and the waitress only came to our table once to see how we were doing, except for once she passed us without stopping, saying "foods coming" still waited over 20 min at that point. Was there a total of about 2 hours, did not once see a manager come out and touch tables. Literally kept looking around just to see if the manager cared at all. Nope.... multiple tables around us were complaining as well, but mostly under their breath. Once the food finally came out, burger was not cooked to what was asked "under cooked" and wings were fine except for 2 of them being under cooked as well. All issues were addressed to the waitress, and she brought the issues to the manager, however, instead of the manager coming out and addressing customers the way they should, and again "touching tables" she makes her staff play messenger instead. I did not ask for a free meal, nor ask for a discount, but rather asked the "messenger" to ask the manager, what she thinks she should do. Still yet to see this person's face. Check came out with a tea, coke, and beer taken off the check...a total of $5, and still not even so much as a peak out of the back room and a flip of the middle finger from her, which again, would have been better than the nothing that we got. Very poor, hopefully they will get their waiting and cooks...
Read moreCalled 2 hours ahead of time to make sure they’re playing the East Carolina game and the hostess confirmed. We arrived at kickoff with no game being streamed. Hostess responded there’s a lot of games on but this is considered an “ECU” bar. She was extremely rude and sat other people ahead of us because we voiced we wanted the game on (which the people that sat down also were ECU fans). At around 6:05 they streamed the game and we missed kickoff. The hostess proceeds to come over with food menus and silverware and SLAMMED the menus and silverware in our face to a point everyone was turning heads. I have never experienced this level of disrespect at any restaurant before. At this point I was upset said a few choice words and was asked to leave. Additionally, another staff member told me “East Carolina is trash” to get a rise out of me (he seemed to be in high school). The manager didn’t reprimand the hostess and we left before I got in trouble. Unfortunately, I don’t believe I’ll be coming back here. This isn’t because of the food or atmosphere just poor management and disrespectful staff. It’s one thing to receive bad service, it’s another to be flat out disrespected and to have menus and silverware slammed in your face for just asking about the East Carolina Game at an ECU bar. We ended up going to Gaffers in which we saw some Ex Sharks Den Staff. The food and service was great. Restaurants don’t receive bad reviews because of the food or the atmosphere a lot of the times, but because of management and staff. I will miss wing night...
