My husband and I went there early Sunday morning, with only one other table seated. I myself ordered stuffed French toast, which was ok; a Hot Mexican Mocha, which was cold and was very weak tasting, was supposed to be cinnamony and spicy, I had to ask to reheat it. I also ordered the California Benedict, which was very plain, eggs were over-cooked, and one muffin was extra dark while the other one was barely toasted (I mean warmed) with a small amount of sauce. My husband ordered the Steak Benedict, which had not much flavor to the meat and was grizzly. He also got a Bloody Maria and a double espresso. All the food and drinks came out at the same time. No Utensils or napkins provided (had to go find at hostess station. The hot sauce bottle was empty and dirty. Overall, we would NOT recommend this establishment. One of the most expensive junk breakfasts we have experienced in the SD area so far.

Very rude, arrogant, and disrespectful hostess - she doubled down on our departure. The Server was very nice, so that was good. Food was basically Denny's level, but they do not allow any substitutions and refused to cook potatoes without onions (many people cant eat onions). Apparently its under newer management, it used to have table service but now you have to order at the counter, and get your own water and coffee, and select your own napkins, knives, and forks from bins that everyone reaches into. About half of the knives were dirty - not really washed (I didnt look at the forks and spoons). Food not worth the cost, cramped booths, rude hostess. While there, I witnessed a marketing professional taking pictures of beautifully prepared dishes, obviously for their advertising, but not what their dishes actually looked like. Overrated, overpriced, rude. I will not be back.

So I am never one to add fruits in my salad (I don’t know why I just think it’s weird) but I decided to give this salad a shot and OH MY GOSH! The fruits were sooooo fresh! I actually ended up eating the fruits before my salad (a win win in my opinion). I opted for their homemade poppy seed dressing and I definitely don’t regret it! It was so creamy and sweet! The ahi tuna was seared just perfectly. The portions are rather huge. I actually ate all my salad before I finished the tuna. This entire salad was so delicious. If you were going to eat a salad, this definitely would be the one. I was rather full after finishing it also! Also, I opted out of the dry cranberries and walnuts on my salad but just know it’s supposed to be on there if that’s your thing! Their outdoor and indoor seatings are open but I chose to sit outside on a beautiful 70° day in San Diego.

I am posting this to Google as there was no response by the business after reaching out to them 1st and giving them a week to respond. In these times it really does not seem like the right course of action to ignore the intentional acts of its employees and endanger its guests

I am afraid to even write you, but before resorting to Yelp and Google reviews to express myself I will give you a chance to do the right thing. Yesterday (4/29) my wife and I chose your restaurant to celebrate our anniversary. Knowing that it is all take out, after pouring over your extensive menu and were going to try to find an ocean view and eat in our car. We ordered over the phone some blackberry banana pancakes and an ABC quesadilla made burrito style. Upon arriving had to wait a bit, no big deal there but to come up with an ocean view had to drive to Cardiff. My wife opens up her pancakes and they were just plain cakes, no banana blackberry which she had been craving. My ABC burrito was made properly. I decided to share it with my wife. She calls you and tells whomever answered the phone what happened and not to take a chance on being disappointed again orders the same thing I had. We drive back to Encinitas and she goes in to pick up the order. Cook comes out of the kitchen and watches my wife pick up the order which she thought was weird. We go back to Cardiff to finish eating and when opening the food container, the burrito was literally swimming in grease and the tortilla was soaking wet. I get one half and my wife got the other half. Took napkins and wiped off the tortilla and started to eat it. Got to what we thought was bacon only to have fat. and a lot of fat. Opened up the tortilla and there was NO bacon in in the burrito, only bacon fat or pork fat of some sort. This was no accident. This was an intentional deliberate act by the cook. If for some reason he ran out of bacon, then that should have been told to us. What else did he possibly do to our food? We couldn't go back as we were afraid of getting poisoned or something worse. Took all the fat that we could see out of the burrito and ate just the eggs. Last night we both became violently ill and my wife was still sick a day later. Was not a great anniversary. I am appalled that this is what our experience was and the intentional act by the cook. We spent a lot of money to have a memorable meal and it will be memorable for all the wrong reasons. I understand that this restaurant is has the same owners as Swami’s also. All I had requested was my $32.14 to be refunded. Do not visit this restaurant or the same thing may...

First time coming to the Encinitas area and this is a really lovely place! I love the open space outside and the inside is also friendly aesthetic! Managed to find a good parking spot even on a Sunday afternoon so that ways a big bonus haha.

Seasonal Red Velvet Peach Pancakes - 10/10 Really light and fluffy pancakes and that combination of red velvet and Peach was really unbelievable! Definitely would not have thought of something like this myself. Seasonal menu was a little hidden but glad we managed to peek a look at it online before coming in.

Healthy Chicken Sandwich - 9/10 I would have asked for a few customizations here if I went again. The sourdough was flavorful but they actually buttered it which I was not a fan of. Sauteed spinach on the inside also looked quite wet so I'm not sure if it was oil or just water. Really hoping it was water but I would have asked for less oil on this. Good amount of chicken in there which was nice. We were actually afraid that the the sun-dried tomatoes would be too oily so we asked for them on the side but they were actually quite perfect! Chicken was also cooked well and had a good amount of chicken in here Avocado was missing though so that was a little sad.

Half order Eggs Benedict - 10/10 Husband got this "it was nice!" he said! He's a major Eggs Benedict person, so this is definitely one to recommend!

Side Salad - Husband and I both asked for this on the side of the sandwich and the eggs Benedict. Nice way to get some veggies in without ordering a salad. Portion size was also quite big so that was nice. I didn't try the dressing but husband did and he said it was actually really really lovely. So much so that he wanted some for home!

Churro Waffles Another season that our friends got. I think they actually like it because that whole plate was wiped clean! Looked really fluffy on the inside and it came with a lot of berries on top and actually looked really pretty as well.

Vegetarian Breakfast burrito with Soyrizo - Friends ordered this and not going to lie this actually looked delicious! Really proper stuffed burrito that they crisped up nicely on the outside! Love how this place actually offered customization is because my friends actually customized her their order to make this burrito vegetarian...

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. I came in yesterday around 1pm with my dad and sister. We are new to the area, and were excited to check out a new local spot with a big brunch menu and lots of gluten free options for my sister who has celiac. Upon getting there, we were seated and waited approximately 30 minutes before my sister got up to order a coffee. They came out with her coffee 10 minutes later (which was messed up btw but unfortunately this is the most minor part of the story) and there was still no sign of our food. We were approached soon after and told the kitchen was backed up even though the restaurant was only about half full, we said no worries and got our food shortly after. I got a smoked salmon omelet that was ice cold and clearly had been sitting out for quite some time. My sister got avocado toast but clearly ordered gluten free as she is celiac, and it was served on regular bread. When we informed the female server about the mistakes on both of our orders, we were met with such defensiveness. We got quite an eye roll and were told "fine, but you're gonna have to wait because we're busy." My sister's new avocado toast remade came out a few minutes later but she gave me a new menu because I lost my appetite for eggs at that point and was told I could order something else, but again it's going to take a while. No apology for any of this. My dad made a comment about how unacceptable the service has been and she told us she was defensive because she didn't appreciate us telling her that it seemed like my omelet had been sitting out (which is just the truth). She then fought back for a few minutes before turning and walking away without taking my order. At that point, we had no interest staying any longer so the male host kindly refunded our entire order for the inconvenience/rudeness, but it's safe to say that we will not...
