Purely writing this review in hopes that someone will pay more attention here.. I went to Roxy on a Saturday night, and sat outside the bar with some friends at a table. When we left, I forgot my wallet on the table by accident and didn't realize until we were home. The wallet had 300 cash in it, I had just got paid that evening.
Luckily, a kind stranger reached out to me on instagram and informed me that they had returned my wallet to the bar WITH ALL of the money inside.
I went up to the bar the next day, they said they had the wallet but it had no money. At first, people were very helpful and it seemed like they were willing to help! They told me they would check the security footage from the timeframe when the wallet was dropped, and ensure that no one from the Roxy took the money.
The friend who returned it even was willing to give a description of the worker they returned it to.
Come multiple days later, and I heard nothing back. I called a few people, and no one really wanted to talk about it. I then went BACK to the bar, and talked to another manager, and again, in person, he seemed really helpful and told me "he would make sure the GM got back to me"
Still more days, and nothing. So, I called the original manager who agreed to help me and he finally returned to me with the message "Our surveillance cameras do not seem to be recording anything at the moment... we are unable to help you with the investigation at this time" ....real convenient if you ask me...
And nothing. What am I supposed to do? Go harass them? I am at a loss, I don't make a lot of money and I worked hard for that 300. Take what you want out of this story but it seems like someone at the bar took the money.
Also the whole vibe of wanting to help in person saying they would do this and that, but not giving it any attention. Really seems like they're well trained in the service industry and wanted to calmly get me out of their hair. Super lame.
Lastly, One bar manager said "that guy probably stole it" I have no clue why a stranger would reach out to me, give me his contact info and throw himself into the mix of things if he stole the money. He has been nice and generally helpful through this process.
Anyways, thats my review. Don't leave your stuff laying around!...
Read moreOk buckle up My daughter and Now son in-law along with 8 friends went to a wedding brunch here. I am in another state and called as they were opening because my husband and I wanted to pay for a round of drinks for the party to celebrate. The GM Ashley said they could absolutely do that and while they were having a system issue, would call me back with the total. She did that and I noticed I was charged for too many drinks, that was corrected, I paid it and tipped the bartender for it. I told her to feel free to let the party know âThe first round was on Brides parentsâ. Also, so confirming they were not charged too. Later heard nothing from my daughter. Called her asked how brunch was and she said how disorganized and they forgot her meal, someone got a UP charge for something in their order, when it wasnât ordered that way. I then found out nobody said anything, they had no clue about the drinks, and they were the only group in the restaurant at the time. Which means they now have to go through the bill to make sure they were not also charged. I called the GM back told her how disappointed that that happened. She replied with how it was just crazy with their system down, wasnât sure if they were told, was sure their bill was right, but would send a copy. I replied âwell you could at least apologize â. Her reply was âWell Iâm not going to apologize from my POS system going downâ. Wow, you do get it do you Ashley! Is that what you think I want an apology for?? Things will go wrong with equipment, systems and employees learn to apologize when they do because itâs definitely itâs My fault, Except for...
Read moreOh my! Roxy's Wednesday night recently featured Brandon (guitar and lead vocals) and Jeremy (guitar, violin, accordian) playing great tunes from Springsteen and others of the Boss's era. Roxy is cozy beach town Encinitas place to hangout.
That night, I appreciated that servers were attentive. Good food to consume!
Be prepared to tip band with credit card for "band tip". I didn't have cash so that was convenient.
Truly, I like supporting people's effort to perform in front of live audience. It's vulnerable. I applaud the risk of entertainers not being liked.
For a yummy snack, I ordered the falafel burger with fries.
Crowd was relaxed. Come to Roxy with friends. Great calm atmosphere. Ecletic videos running on monitor during duo performance did distract me.
If you want multiple media distractions đ, then Roxy is the place to find them
By the way, I switch gears, please know. Medals of Blessed Virgin Mother were in my pocket and purse! Reminds me of souls who are made for goodness, truth, and beauty!
Prayed for all! The weapon of heaven is the love of Trinitarian God!
Be great Saints!
PS
Shout out to the Catholic đ¤ Cowboy! He was not there. While Brandon and Jeremy were performing, I thought of Linda, his wife, Catholic Cowboy who needs prayers for the next six months and beyond. Catholic Cowboy will undergo Chemotherapy. So please pray and for all who no one to pray for themđđâď¸đThus far, Catholic Cowboy lives here on earth with God's power!
Blessed Virgin Mother, Mary,...
