My coworker an I went for lunch today at 11:40 AM , (only two tables occupied out side) when I asked to the server Katie if we can seat at any table she said, "sure" in a unpolite manner, then she trough the menus at the table with out any "welcoming manners" I ordered a coffee and shebring me the coffee in a used dirty cup ( pictures attached) when I asked her why my cup has a stained ring inside she said "Do you want me to change the cup or you don't want anything" But not only my coffee cup, also was a bad chipped and dirty plastic cup for my coworker water as well (see pictures attached), Then when she passed by our table and keep walking by, I mentioned to her we are ready to order, she turn back an pointing at other table and she yelled at me" They where here first" with no courtesy. We observed how she talked to other costumersusing words like " honey" "sweetheart" or simple attentive way. I was there with all my family last month and we were please with the plate taste and service, but today I was really bad, we received a different and unhealthy service (COVID-19 risk) we feel mistreated, my coo worked mentioned that we should leave, but we did not have any more time to go other place and returnto work on time. We stay there and finished a well prepared dish, how ever we are not going back to this place, We look for the owners or managers name and there no other...
Read moreI’m always looking for an outstanding breakfast place. We were passing through and found this restaurant on yelp. I was not disappointed (which I’m sorry to say happens all too often finding a restaurant to be adequate but not great). In writing this I’m thinking how I’m so sad that I live far away and can’t go there today!
We chose a table outside on the sidewalk and with great weather that was a nice option . The menu is quite varied which caught my attention when reading the review. If I were in the area, I would return often and try many of the dishes on their menu . However, I fell back on one of my favorites . I ordered the Eggs Benedict with bacon and, as the server promised, the hollandaise sauce was outstanding. I loved every bite! I opted for potatoes and my partner opted for fruit so that we could share. It was a nice option that we could modify the fruit combo so that I could eliminate some things and have more of what I do enjoy. We chose a biscuit for our bread and I was pleased with the overall results. I don’t find biscuits in restaurants to be of the correct texture, fluffiness, and flavor. However, This biscuit was satisfying enough that I would order it again. The quantity of food was generous, but not over the top so that We were both able to finish our breakfasts. This restaurant would be on my list to stop at again if I were...
Read moreI grew up in San Diego and went to high school in North County but for some reason, I had never been to The 101 Diner. During my last visit home, I decided to change that and stopped in for the first time. I was pleased to see it’s a traditional Classic American diner with very fast service, a large menu, and fair prices. Inside is pretty small, which adds to the homey atmosphere. They don’t have a ton of seating options but the lines here never seem to be as long as Encinitas Café across the street. Parking in this part of Encinitas is pretty easy because if there’s not a space available right on the street, it’s easy to find one in the neighborhood behind the businesses. Our waitress was very polite and everything that we ordered arrived shortly after we placed the order.
Being a fan of Seaside Market I saw that they have a new Eggs Benedict dish called the Cardiff Crack Benedict, which has the famous tri-tip so I had to order that. I was very pleased with it and the eggs were done just as I like them. I would definitely order it again and would recommend. I plan to be back again next time...
