I’ve been a customer for 3 years. I dined in twice When I worked nearby. I do not live nearby and when I started a job elsewhere I still stopped in and ordered take out one per week. My family became addicted to the cheese crab wonton, sesame shrimp, combination lo mein and shrimp lo mein. I would usually give a 5-star solely for the taste and ample portion. However, on July 7, 2020 I had a bad experience and will never return. Due to COVID 19 orders are paid by credit over the phone with no contact pickup at the front door. On this date, I ordered sesame shrimp along other dishes. Prior to driving away, I checked the order. Instead of sesame shrimp I receive sesame chicken. I immediately called the restaurant and a woman who I believed to be is either the manager or the owner was extremely rude. She insisted that I ordered sesame chicken and not sesame shrimp. I related to her that I would not order meat as my boyfriend is a pescatarian and does not eat meat. She insisted that I was in the wrong and that she was not. When I asked if I could return the uneaten sesame chicken in exchange for the correct order, the manager-owner related, “ We don’t do that!” I indicated to her that I have been a long time customer and would be willing to pay for the difference. She took a while and responded, “I checked the records and you have only been ordering since June.” I explained to her that I have ordered takeout from Bistro King for years only difference is when I come in to order takeout I pay cash. Now due to COVID-19 the restaurant requires customers to pay by credit card and therefore, there would be no record for cash transactions. Also, she stated that I have ordered combination lo mein before and she doesn’t believe that my boyfriend is a pescatarian and does not eat meat. She basically called me a liar. I explain to her that the combination lo mein is for my daughter and for this order the food was for my boyfriend and myself. Finally, after my persistence she agreed to exchange the sesame shrimp if I returned the sesame chicken and pay the difference +5 additional dollars. Wow unbelievable! Not only rude but unethical. Most people will choose good customer service over good food any day. Especially during COVID-19 when many people are dealing with less income. I will take my business elsewhere. it is apparent that this establishment does not value...
Read moreI came across them online looking for places that delivered I was not totally sure what I wanted to eat but I knew I wanted something. Their website said they were open till 10:00 p.m. and it was only 8:30. Little did I know that their menu was so long with so many things that looked and sounded very delicious. By the time I was done looking through the menu and deciding what I wanted to have delivered for me and my fiance it was around 9:15pm. I completed the order and purchased it with my card a little over $50 for quite a few things. Eager to find out how long it would be I called but got no answer. Before I knew it it was 9:40 and still not a word no answers from the phone. The website had changed its hours to say that it was closed at 9: 00. By then I knew the restaurant was actually closed. I waited for them to open up this morning and around 11:30 a.m. I gave them a call inform them about my order last night and the time that I ordered it. They asked me if I wanted to make the order for tonight so I made arrangements to have them deliver it to me by 6:00 p.m.. to my surprise they actually delivered it at 5:50 p.m. nearly 10 minutes early which was perfect because me and my fiance were both very tired from housework and hungry. The food looked and smelled very delicious. There was more food there than what I had expected for the prices. And we both enjoyed the food very much. Aside from the website issue everything was perfect service food and courtesy of the delivery driver.. five stars for service five stars for the cooks five stars for the delivery driver and a four-star for the website in my eyes is still a five star that would recommend this place to anyone who loves true Asian cuisine. And I am definitely ordering from...
