This was my first time at Braum's, and the service was very confusing. I read the menu, which says you have 2 drink options (shake or 22 oz soft drink) and 3 side options (medium fries, cottage cheese, or Greek yogurt). I ordered 3 #7s, each with 2 shakes and one of each side. The trainee rang me up but seemed confused about the sizes and dairy sides. The sizing between what the person offers and what's on the menu is confusing because the menu mentions 22 oz drinks, but the cups are labeled S/M/L. The order wasn’t read back to me, but I paid $31.
When I checked my receipt, it showed I was given 3 small fries, 2 small shakes, and extra medium fries, cottage cheese, and yogurt. I went back to explain, saying I didn’t want 4 cartons of fries. The boy told his manager, Pilar, who said I needed to cancel the order. I reluctantly agreed, as I didn’t care about the money, but I just wanted the right items. Pilar also told me the combo sides can only be fries, and dairy sides must be ordered separately. The new total was $29, which was $2 less, but my account was still held for the original amount. Overall, it was a confusing experience.
Lastly, before I left, Pilar called out the trainee boy in front of me and other customers. While I agree there needs to be more communication, as she said, I don’t think it should have been done in front of customers. It might have been more helpful for her to suggest he could improve by rereading the order to avoid confusion. I feel the menu is the biggest issue that needs to change if it gets this confusing. Overall, it was a frustrating and...
Read moreWe ordered a burger kids meal with no cheese, no pickle, add lettuce and tomato and were told they couldn't add lettuce and tomato, but we could order the lettuce on the side (??) Ok, fine. We did that. We ordered a nugget kids meal with BBQ sauce and yogurt instead of fries, a value meal burger, add BBQ sauce (which they also couldn't add, but could put on the side) and a fourth value meal. After filling the drinks we found out they didn't have lids to fit the cups - ok, no big deal. The food came and there was cheese on the kids burger, so we took it back up and asked for it with no cheese and the side of lettuce. We were asked to sit back down and they'd bring it to us. We then realized there were fries instead of yogurt in the nugget meal, so we went back up to ask but they couldn't find the yogurt, so asked us to sit back down and they'd bring it to us. We noticed that there was no BBQ sauce with the nugget meal nor the value meal burger, went back up to ask and got the sauce, yogurt and new burger, but were told that they couldn't give us lettuce because there wasn't a way to charge us for just lettuce. At this point, we'd spent more time at the counter trying to get someone's attention because of something they'd missed than we had sitting with our hungry kids. You can't just pitch in a lettuce leaf, guys?? We tend to enjoy Braum's food, but will definitely skip this one next time we're passing through, you...
Read moreOh my goodness! My husband and I ate there October 31, 2022 and we were so shocked by first, the beautiful and second, delicious burger and fries we were served. The buns weren’t crushed, they were tall and beautiful. Whataburger, Dairy Queen, well, everybody else flattens the burger out. I simply don’t get it. They look like they are making you a fresh burger but when you get it is mashed every stinking time. But this Braums in Ennis, Texas puts every other fast food restaurant in Ennis to shame. And the taste, we simply could not stop saying “yum.” The meat was so tender. Their cook really knows how to cook. Then there is the real ice cream shake. Have you tasted the “so-called “shakes from other fast food places? What in the world are they made from???? They are NOT fit to drink. But the Brahms shake is the real deal. I was also surprised by their new menu of specialty burgers. Plus all the other great food items they sell. Go eat at Brahms!! Get the burger and fries and you will find out for yourself how delicious it is. Oh, yeah, the fries taste like potatoes. I don’t believe Whataburger fries are really made with potatoes. They are just bland sticks that you use to eat the catsup with. A big thanks goes out to the manager, the cook, and all the wonderful friendly people that work at Braums in Ennis, Texas. Can’t wait to get another...
