Lifelong resident of Erie, first time at this restaurant. Can’t believe we have this beautiful of a gem on the dock. Very beautiful interior and decor! Love the fish tanks and old style brick behind bar and even a super vintage bar tap. Please don’t ever remodel! This place is part of eries history! Food was quite pricey and more higher class compared to Eries cost point, but it was still a great experience. Our waitress was so polite. I can’t remember her name now, but she’s been there many years! Maybe Shannon? I was just so astounded we have such a unique place and kinda bummed it’s not more utilized. Personally, I think it’s unfortunate the place isn’t more of a late night joint instead of an elderly, wealthier restaurant. If they have live music acoustic acts I would love to come hangout there and relax for a drink. Would be an excellent place for an open mic spot too! Apparently they used to do it years ago but it closes early now. I’d love to help market your biz. There’s no website or social media to find menu or prices. I could make suggestions such as your placemats for one should have some history on the restaurant and its history. Such a relic for Erie when sooo much unique history has been torn down and sold. The chicken Alfredo was the best I ever had! The chicken meal I got was kind of bland tbh. Needed some flavor like a special sauce on it or something. But still tasted pretty good

One of the oldest restaurants on the harbor, We enjoyed there she crab soup, and perch sandwich and a lobster roll with their homemade potato salad. All was excellent. Busy place, nice atmosphere. Building is really cool looking, indoor and outdoor seating. The only complaint I have is that the menu that you can find online is about half the price of what you pay when you're there, I don't think they actually have a website with current pricing available and have left whatever menu been posted on whatever site probably for the past 20 years. Which I think is a disservice, and not necessarily would have deterred me if I saw the menu with their actual prices. Everything was still reasonable and excellent. We had a young gentleman that was working the bar and he was a really nice and classy guy but took care of us. So was waitress that came from The dining area that also helped. She was really nice and quick to serve us. Definitely worth a stop for a drink and definitely dinner. We did sit out the bar however and the only complaint I have there is that they're bar stools which are definitely dated our very uncomfortable, they are small and they lean forward. I don't know if this is on purpose to discourage people from eating or staying at the bar for too long or if it's just something they haven't really thought about. Beautiful historical place, be sure to check it out.

First I want to give compliments where due. We were welcomed and treated well by our server. I got the catch of the day which was Arctic Char, and it was tasty enough. However, my mother's meal was disappointing. She got the Mediterranean shrimp pasta, and it tasted bland like it had no salt, and had an unpleasant overpowering flavor I couldn't identify but all I can say is it was gross. There were also 3 shrimp in this $30 dish. When our server noticed my mother was unable to eat it, she did comp us for half the price and that felt fair at least. I have hope that it was a one-off bad dish. The biggest frustration BY FAR though was the house salad my mother ordered with her meal. Not because it was bad—it was the only thing she was able to eat—but because they charged $7 for a few iceberg lettuce leaves, croutons, carrot and onion slices. She also passed on Bleu cheese dressing because they ask an extra $3 for it. That's up to $10 for a small salad that's literally as basic as it gets. When I was looking online after the fact, the prices used to be way different. I know inflation has hit us all but that salad has no business costing that much in any economy. The worst thing about this place is that it's way overpriced for what you get. I talked us out of going to Red Lobster for this and left regretting it.

I recently dined at Smugglers Wharf and, unfortunately, the only redeeming qualities of the restaurant are its view and location. Beyond that, I’m baffled as to how this place remains open, much less how it averages decent reviews. We started with the Seafood Dip, which was more like a runny soup than a dip. While it had some flavor, it was so watery that we had to rely on the bread to make it somewhat edible. The coconut shrimp was excessively sweet, reminiscent of funnel cake batter, and the fried fish had a greasy, thick breading with no flavor, resembling croissants more than anything else. Even the French fries were poorly cooked, burnt, and unseasoned. The salad was just iceberg lettuce, offering the nutritional value of ice. The only thing that we actually ate was the “soup” and bread. We literally couldn’t stomach the rest. Service was equally disappointing. It took 15 minutes for a waiter to greet us and take our drink orders. The interior of the restaurant feels outdated and gives off a dingy, dirty vibe & the food itself is extremely overpriced. Overall, the dining experience was far from pleasant, and I wouldn’t recommend it unless you’re there solely for the view.

Service wasn't the greatest. First waitress came to the table and said she couldn't wait on us because I was ordering off the dinner menu. My husband wanted to order off the lunch menu but we were told we can't do both. So he found something on the dinner menu to order. I was served fish and didn't get tarter sauce. I tried flagging down 3 different workers to no avail. Finally the guy at the next table yelled loud for me and a waitress came to him. He asked her to get me some tater sauce. My waitress was no where around. Then I remembered I was suppose to get Cole slaw with my order. After I was almost done my waitress showed up. I asked about my coleslaw. She brought it then. My fish was nothing to brag about. Scallops were really small and the shrimp was ok. My husband didn't care for his fish. He took it home and fed it to our dogs. After we were done eating we waited 10 minutes for our bill. I finally went Inside and the hostess found our bill on the computer, I paid her. Not the place to eat. We ate on the deck and that was nice.
