Farmer Boys — Restaurant in Escondido

Hands down the best Farmer Boys in San Diego. Drove down from rancho Cucamonga to San Diego to visit my parents in Escondido. My parents love going to Farmer Boys, they've gone to everyone in the area but always keep coming back to this one. It's become a staple for my family to go after church on Sundays when I lived in San Diego oh, my parents still go every Sunday. but now it seems that as my mother is losing interest in cooking (they are both 80 years old) my dad will go pick up a Cobb salad at Farmer Boys and bring it home for the them to share. when I told him that I was coming down to pick up my daughter and wanted to visit with them, I asked it where they would like to go eat? Three guesses on what the answer was! I was in the mood for fish and chips, my daughter was in the mood for a burrito and my parents wanted surprise, a salad. each one of us got the best version of what we wanted at the same restaurant! Andres, the owner of this particular Farmer Boys, has made friends with my parents and every time we go stops by our table to see how we're doing. The corporation for Farmer Boys has been using Andres at other locations as an example and a trainer on how a franchise is supposed to operate. I've never had a bad experience at this Farmer Boys, and as there are a ton of them up in the inland empire, I'm hesitant to try them, as I don't want to muddy my experiences. Regardless of any restaurant in my area, every time I come to San Diego we will be visiting Farmer Boys in Escondido. There are two Farmer Boys in Escondido, we go to the one that is NOT on Valley parkway....

I am little bad that I never tried this place till now, thanks to Yelp for this opportunity. Went with my family and unanimously we loved this place, which is a very rare occurrence.

Before talking about the food, I need to address the Staff. Wonderful people or farmers indeed. Andreas the Manager lead his wonderful team so perfectly, they are like family. You cannot see such a friendly host anywhere else. Wonderful team and felt the warmth all the time. These people are enough reasons for me to visit there again n again.

Atmosphere, classier than a fast food. Super neat and kempt

Coming to food, We ordered Southwest Chicken The first time we loved a salad without any dressing (Spicy Ranch) The greens was so fresh and crispy. The Salad was perfectly tossed, taste and aroma was fulfilling.

4pc Hand-Battered Fish Dinner It came with huge 4 pieces of Wild-caught Pollock fillets. Served with fries, 2 onion rings, Zucchini fries and a side salad and a ciabatta roll. I am hungry again.

Bacon Turkey Melt Well cooked Turkey breast with American and Provolone-style cheeses, Crispy bacon, tomato and mayo on sourdough bread tasted to perfect.

This place is overqualified to be a fast food, this is must go. All I wish is they had more branches across San Diego. Do download their App, useful too.

I've been eating here for many years I've lived in Escondido for quite some time I think the food's great I think the staff is nice usually. just don't understand why it would say that they're closed at 10:00 p.m. but the doors are locked at 9:00 even when there's still people sitting in the dining room eating. Yet they're not going to take people while they're still open for another hour you know that doesn't make any sense this covid thing has let everybody kind of slip as far as their standards go and I just think that's really bad business I don't think that's any way to treat anyone first of all I mean if you're open is this drive through only thing while I was sitting out here trying to make a call and ask him why they were they weren't open in their dining room two more people came up and tried to go inside as well that's money you're missing it doesn't make any sense I hope you fix this problem cuz I do see it as a problem and I'm not going to come back here if you're going to be doing things like this to people especially when it's...
